Due to the execrable state of English language usage, one of the dying arts is that of the pun. This use of word play has been relegated to eye-rolling attempts at humor. I must say it was a lot more interesting and better than I was expecting. For $30 you can take a tour of just the mansion or for $4 you can also add a bunch of small exhibits to your tour. Fortunately, I found this coupon. For $4 off the Platinum package, so you essentially can get those extra exhibits free!

Last weekend NASCAR ran its race at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, dubbed the Brickyard. In case you missed it, the Goodyear tires couldn't handle the race. Teams were forced to change their tires every ten laps. Yes, you read it right, TEN LAPS! I'm glad I didn't bother watching that race. So, what are the only tires to run without problems at Indy? Michelin blames tire design flaw.

Sunday, January 25, 2009. We offically have four teeth. Ash also went to the doctor last week for his 9 month appointment. He weighed in at 18.5 pounds and was 27" long. Ash was giving me the look. He makes this face all the time. It has sort of evolved the past few weeks. He will make the face and growl when he doesn't like what I am doing, or he will grunt while doing it if it is funny. We only convinced Gracie of this after telling her we would see all kinds of animals, and we did! Animal Kingdom was not near as packed out as Magic Kingdom. We rode several rides. Saturday, September 6, 2008. What is your home planet? We have been teaching Hudson about our solar system (at his request! He can already identify Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. He also knows Uranus, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, and Pluto but they are a little tougher to pick out on the solar system map. The solar system is much more complicated than when I was a kid. Now we have Ceres, Pluto, and Eris as "dwarf" planets and Kuiper Belt Objects. Remember when Saturn was the only planet with rings?

Sunday, June 29, 2008. Yesterday Hudson went on his Space Adventure Day (as planned by Daddy). June 28th marked the opening day of the new space wing and planetarium at the local science museum. It also coincided with the new release of Pixar's film Wall-E. So we decided to make a day of seeing these two events, along with Aunt Christina. Saturday, May 31, 2008. One of our favorite events during the year is the Renaissance Festival, which happens every weekend in May and on Memorial Day. This year, Grammy and Pop-Pop were up visiting and they went with us, along with Aunt Christina. It was Hudson's fourth trip to the festival; his first visit was when he was ust 6 weeks old!
