Twelve Makes a Dozen: Austin
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/austin.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 2, 2015. We stayed in San Antonio last night and then we got up early this morning to see the Alamo. We hadn't planned to see it until tomorrow, but Teach and Craig wanted a chance to see it before they took off today. And I mean that literally. The Alamo was amazing! I'm sure people wondered why we were so dressed up, but we did come straight from church. Then it was back to San Antonio for more sandwiches in our room. A few of us wanted to see the Riverwalk, but it was p...

Twelve Makes a Dozen: San Antonio
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/san-antonio.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 3, 2015. I called this day San Antonio even though all we did was get up this morning, check out of the hotel and stop at a WalMart. It was a travel day and it was a long one. We got out of San Antonio about 10:00 and we only made a few stops, one at a rest area for lunch and twice at gas stations. The kids were tired and a little cranky. So were the adults. Posted by Mom of 12. Stay safe, and have fun. August 3, 2015 at 11:56 PM. August 4, 2015 at 3:56 AM. 1st and 2nd Class.

Twelve Makes a Dozen: Carlsbad
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/carlsbad.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 4, 2015. We checked out of the hotel this morning and headed to the Carlsbad Caverns. We had been told that they were beautiful and we should try to get there if we could, so we rearranged our original travel plans to include Carlsbad and El Paso. We were not disappointed. The caves were absolutely amazing! We met Prima Donna in the lunchroom and then we did the trail in the big room. She had to turn back about half way since it was not accessible for scooters. Princes...I tri...

Twelve Makes a Dozen: Meet the Fam - Updated!
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/p/meet-fam.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Meet the Fam - Updated! I've heard from my children that it is time to update the Meet the Fam. After nearly 5 years of blogging, things have changed so much! I hesitate to add ages because they change so quickly, but as of October 2015, these ages are correct. Teach (24) just started her first year of teaching and she is loving working with the 5th graders here in the valley although the Title 1 school is a challenge. We are happy to still have her living at home for this dif...

Twelve Makes a Dozen: El Paso
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/el-paso.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 6, 2015. None of us have ever been to El Paso before, so we weren't sure what to expect. I told you about driving along the border last night. We checked out of the hotel about 9:00 although I think the kids would have loved another hour in the pool. They had a bunch of tanks and a helicopter in the parking lot, and it was even better inside. Exhibits included all of the wars with equipment and uniforms, pictures and explanations. I loved the history! We were worried that the ...

Twelve Makes a Dozen: Moab
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/moab.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 8, 2015. My sweetie woke us all up at 6:15 this morning. By 7:00 most of us were in the van and ready to go. He wanted to hike Delicate Arch. It was overcast and we had a few drops of rain at the hotel, but we decided to make the trip anyway. Arches National Park is not very far from Moab and within about 20 minutes, we were at the parking lot. It was already half full. Of course I had seen it from a distance and on all kinds of advertising including our license plates, but I ...

Twelve Makes a Dozen: Coming Home
http://twelvemakesadozen.blogspot.com/2015/08/coming-home.html
Meet the Fam - Updated! Aug 9, 2015. You know the worst part about coming home from vacation besides the huge pile of dirty laundry? It's that overly large stack of paperwork that has accumulated. I've gotten through about half of mine. I guess I should have stopped my newspaper, because I had 2 weeks full of unread papers, 2 weeks of unanswered emails, and piles of bills and junk mail. I sat down to it half a dozen times and just couldn't face it. Then finally I got myself moving. Posted by Mom of 12.
