Friday, February 20, 2009. Tomorrow is Day of Caring. The track is banked, so standing there trying to look normal is a real accomplishment. When dd loads the pics, I'll post them. When it was time to go to our seats, after the driver introductions, we walked down the track and across to a ladder up to the stands. Our seats were on the 4 th turn so we got to see them race to the finish line! I lost my voice yelling for my driver, Tony Stewart. He won the race, which thrilled me! Have a great weekend!

Monday, December 31, 2007. It doesn't seem possible that tomorrow will start a new year. This year has just flown past so fast! I guess that's what happens as you get older. I'm looking forward to the new year with anxious anticipation. There will be a lot of different things happening this year and I'm looking forward to the challenges that will confront me. I've lost 50 pounds in 2007 and I want to lose at least 50 more this year! I hope that anyone reading this has a wonderful new year! Our kids start...

Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Red Dress for Women's Heart Health. Today was a chilly day. One of the ladies brought wood for the stove and started the fire. Then it wasn't bad. I managed to get some work done on the knitted tea cozy that I'm making and enjoyed talking to my friends. When we got to the tea, my friend told them that she had called about me coming that morning, so they took my name, rank and serial number and let me pass! Saturday, December 6, 2008. It's been a long time! It's been quite awhile since I've posted here. I have been dealing with pnemonia, and haven't really felt up to doing anything on here! Apparently I had this pnemonia when I was holding the craft fair, which would explain why I was coughing so darn much! Friday, January 25, 2008. Our Historical Society hosted the Chamber of Commerce mixer last night. Since I'm an officer, I felt it was my duty to go. I don't enjoy going into groups where I don't know people. I guess the shy part of me rears it's little head when I go into those types of situations. I realized that 95% of my clothes are very casual. When I found something that I really liked and tried it on, low and behold it was so big that the shoulder seams came about 3 inches off of my shoulders!

Sunday, May 18, 2008. Bronte's Mitts and Pink Kitty Bag. I joined the KAL for the Bronte's Mitts with the FGF at Ravelry. I know that I'm a newer knitter, but I shouldn't be having so many problems with these gloves! Finished that part with no problem. He had lumps surfacing throughout his lymph nodes and from what we were. Told that was normally a sign of lymphoma. He went this week and got a full body PET scan done and the results came back today. They say there is no sign of cancer in the lumps. That's great news, right? We are very happy about this! Anyone want any baby rabbits?
