You Can Bring Me Flowers When I'm Dead and Gone
http://getoffmebloominshipmate.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 24, 2008. Scritto da Point Dexter. I rode carefully amongst the churning sea of people until I could park. I love it when the meter still has minutes remaining. The point to this story is coming, I promise. I searched for the top book on my list, William Shatner's autobiography, only to find it was checked out, with a long list of other readers itching to read his book. Good sign. I decided to scan the DVD section. Always a good plan B. Oh DEVO, stop it. You're making me blush.

Friday, October 26, 2007. One For the Legends. Scritto da Point Dexter. Cheers to you Michael Jackson! You have been the sour end of many late night jokes, various songs, and the star of numerous newscasts. Despite all of this, you sir, will be remembered throughout history. I have yet to meet a person who can make one glove look as trendy. Couple name their baby Michael. Theyâ re everywhere: Beautiful women studying their trade. They purchase the better quality eyeliners and mascaras. I've always wanted...

Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Scritto da Point Dexter. The Laundry Mat Chronicles. I meet a lot of interesting people during my time at the laundry mat. I helped an elderly foreign woman use a dryer once. I met a man who smelled of turnips who also told stories of 'nam. I also met a handsome young man with whom I exchanged phone numbers with. We mentally shook hands, knowing we'd probably never see each other outside of the laundry mat, and set off on our ways. Thank you Facebook for everything you've give...

Sunday, July 31, 2005. Some Slipping and Sliding. The past 2 days have been fun. Posted by acoustic at 1:52 AM. Monday, July 25, 2005. A Classic Triple attempt. WWE Great American Bash Review. After the event, I decided to score a Wendy's Classic Triple meal. Complete with three patties, the sandwich looked a bit intimidating but I managed to scarf it down no problem. The best part is that I didn't even puke afterwards.but I later had to take a No.2 Oh well, mission accomplished. Friday, July 22, 2005.

the acoustic diaries: August 2005
http://theacousticdiaries.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 28, 2005. Absinthe party at the fly honey warehouse. Near the end of their set, some drunken guy walked across the stage, then proceeded to walk on top of the row of couches along the side of the club. It was pretty funny. The band played for about 1hr 10mins total with one encore. Great night. Everyone left satisfied with the performance and I was glad I chose to attend the show. Thanks gut instinct, you did well. Posted by acoustic at 9:43 PM. Saturday, August 27, 2005. With the PPV miss...

the acoustic diaries: Arcade Fire + In-Flight Safety + Architecture In Helsinki + The Pipettes + Wil

Monday, August 27, 2007. Arcade Fire In-Flight Safety Architecture In Helsinki The Pipettes Wil. Thursday May 24 - Arcade Fire @ Deer Lake Park. We arrived at Deer Lake Park in time to catch the last bit of St. Vincent's set. Annie Clark was supported by a large backing band, and the multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter left a good impression on me with what I heard of her set. Other highlights for me during the 1hr 30min set were Keep The Car Running, No Cars Go, Rebellion, and Wake Up. Did a CD Rel...

Thursday, September 13, 2007. At Least That's What You Said. Monday August 20 - Wilco @ Malkin Bowl. We arrived in time to catch the last bit of Richard Swift's set. The California native had a good sense of humour as he laid down his witty, pop-rock tracks. Before playing Too Far Apart, Tweedy mentioned that they haven't played the song since aroud 1995.so when he forgot the lyrics partway through, everyone shrugged it off with a good laugh. The guys sounded extremely tight together, feeding off...Wed O...

Saturday, September 22, 2007. When Ice Met Cream. Sunday September 2 - Tokyo Police Club @ Plaza Club. Immaculate Machine opened. Just prior to their set, I stopped by the merch booth and found they were selling a special Immaculate Machine flask. I picked it up to have a look and was convinced by Kathryn Calder to buy this item when she told me "This flask is all class". It ended up being their only one in stock. They played a handful of new tracks on this night. Being that most of their songs are aroun...

Monday, June 27, 2005. Went swingdancing Saturday and Sunday night. This past weekend was the Vancouver Lindy Exchange. I had some great dances and met many new people. Saturday night was probably the best night of dancing I've had all year. The battle of the bands between the 51st Eight and The Damsels Undistressed was very enjoyable. The atmosphere of the room was incredible. Posted by acoustic at 8:54 PM. Saturday, June 25, 2005. All The Pretty Horses and a pair of Socks. Off to do some swingdancing i...
