Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. Getting used to life here…. Constantly. Not just near food but, in our wadrobe and on all my clothes including my pj’s that I’d already put on before noticing them crawling all over me and then finding them on every piece of clothing… thousands of them…. Lets never speak of that evening again. Can you spot the gnawing teeth marks a visitor left in our. Didn’t touch anything else but had a real go at ...

Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. Maybe Invisible Isabel can come…. 8221; So I asked, not sure what her response would be, but hoping she had a better idea than I could think of. “Who would you like to have over? I know she’s happy, and I know she’s doing well, but I would really love for her to have a buddy she can eat cake with on her birthday. Maybe next year. Learning Culture Through Language. 02/08/2015 at 10:35 pm. This made me cry&#...

Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. A question I often get asked when people find out that we want to be in South East Asia for the best part of the next 10 years is “What about Schooling? I hope you don’t mind but I would love you to me my sounding board for what I’m thinking at the moment…. So with home school most stuff seems to fit into a few categories…. 3 Thematic or Topic study. Using themes usually ones the kids have shown prior inte...

How can I help? | Our journey so far...

Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. How can I help? Her niece was the same age as our daughter, and Missie was excited to have a playmate, although she seemed very shy. Eventually she warmed up and they began chasing each other aroung the house, playing with balls, and colouring in. Missie showing the family the colour names she’d learnt, while also telling them what they are in English. Then I was talking to a friend who was telling me all ...

Adapting to change | Our journey so far...
https://sharpejourney.wordpress.com/2015/07/12/adapting-to-change
Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. We have had many big life changes over the past few months, and on Sunday we travelled yet again. The birth of our second daughter has been a wonderful change for all of us. It is so amazing to have a newborn in the house, and it feels like a long time ago Missie was this little. So what do you do? She seems to have matured so much in the past 6 months, and now as a great big sister she seems even older.

Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. When things don’t go to plan…. We have had such a great time over the last few months, learning heaps of language, exploring the culture and the people around us, and I think something that Matt and I have been pretty good at is just going with the flow. Not expecting things to happen the way they would back home, but learning from each day about different ways of thinking about and doing life. 3 thoughts ...

Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. Something I have spent probably a little bit too much time stressing about recently is how Missy will continue and maintain relationships with friends and family who love and adore her. I know that moving away is taking her away from those people, but it is all part of the price with choosing to live life for something greater than ourselves. 8220;Thanks for the random stuffed toy meerkat Grandpa! But its ...

https://sharpejourney.wordpress.com/2015/03/06/a-very-productive-morning
Our journey so far…. Our journey so far…. Leaving home to make our small contribution to our world. A very productive morning! Not really a normal day in the life of us… I will blog about that some time soon, but I wanted to tell you about a very productive day we had today. We waited on the chairs for another 10 minutes, not sure what to do, when eventually she came out and saw us still there. She had a chuckle and then took us further down the corridor to a waiting area for the cashier! So today I had ...
