Wtorek, 19 marca 2013. Wysokie loty - wspomnienie lata 2012. W szczycie czerwcowego nasłonecznienia dane mi było doświadczyć zaprawdę nie-islandzkiej termiki. Bąble odrywały się wielkie jak boisko piłkarskie i niosły pod same chmury. Niestety wiatry nie sprzyjały i wiejąc z przeciwnych stron anulowały się czyniąc przeloty dłuże niż kilkanaście km niemożliwymi. Środa, 5 września 2012. I po letnim lataniu. Lato uszło z Islandii. Jeszcze zbocza pełne jagód i jakby nagrzane słońcem, a tu już wiatr i deszcz batoży wyspę niemiłosiernie. Środa, 11 lipca 2012. Po kilkugodzinnej podróży łodzią wypełnioną sprzętem paralotniowym, wylądowaliśmy wreszcie w bazie Isortoq. Pushing the limits in southern Greenland. 8220;Paramotor Bay” in Nunarssuit →. The days of rain and wind. Weather in Greenland is suprisingly more stable and predictable than Iceland for example. Therefore we knew that next week we’d be spending doing stuff other than flying. And as the weatherforecast said – rain and wind came and stayed over a week. We’ve felt like stuck in the base with only boat for a transportation (very limited due to high wind and waves). Pushing the limits in southern Greenland.
