You want to snap that perfect moment, and believe me, it doesn’t often happen on your first shot. Try black and white, especially if you have cluttered backgrounds with ...

Photography, Creativity and Tortoises! A Note About Me. I’ve had a love for tortoises ever since I was a little girl and my Mum used to tell me stories about her tortoise Toby. He had their phone number painted on his shell as he was an excellent escape artist; he was often found by the neighbours a couple of miles up the road and they’d phone and my Mum would take her pony, Rosie, to go and fetch naughty Toby! I’ve arrived back from a wonderful 11 days in France and despite the sun shining brightly here in Newbury, I still have serious withdrawal symptoms and wish I was back in France! French Favourites: Wine, “Pain Tradition” et Moules! The New Kitchen Almost Complete: Photos are a little dark as they were taken at dusk. Jobs: Varnishing the new shutters and the freshly painted gable-end. Pretty sunflowers at Noyant. The weather reached ab...

Photography, Creativity and Tortoises! A Note About Me. July 9, 2014. July 9, 2014. Flash – 2005. My upper arms will forever be known as my ‘Flash muscles’ thanks to trying to stop an excited Flash from enjoying a race with his pals! We both enjoyed exploring the Cambridgeshire countryside together. But most of all, I’m so grateful to have had a horse so cuddly and kind. Farewell my gorgeous boy, hope you’re galloping around up there in your own apple orchard! An Old Photo Of Flash and I. June 10, 2015.

Photography, Creativity and Tortoises! A Note About Me. June 24, 2014. July 9, 2014. Just a short update about my photographic adventures so far this year: I really enjoy the colours that Summer has to offer us, there’s something very calming about sitting amongst vibrant flowers and it’s especially rewarding when you watch bees and insects appreciating your hard work, it’s almost worth the constant hayfever sneezes that the pollen causes! Photography, Creativity and Tortoises! A Note About Me. Long Overdue Post and New Family Member. June 10, 2015. It has been a long long while since I’ve written a blog post, shame on me! Bed & Bale. History of the Icelandic Horse. For centuries the horse was the only means of transportation, and the most important beast of burden in Iceland. Hence they bred a horse whose smooth gaits were comfortable and whose reliability, good character, quick wits and strength have saved many lives in dangerous situations – a real partner. The newly renovated Magnetawan Cottage is ...
