元暦元年6月16日 1184 鎌倉幕府 源頼朝 に呼び出された忠頼は、 世を濫らんとの志 吾妻鏡 在りとの事由により誅殺されました。 いったん滅びた一条家ですが、武田六郎信長が一条氏を継ぎ、その孫である一条源八時信が甲斐の守護職 尊卑分脈 のとき、時宗祖一遍聖人の弟子であって、遊行2代を継がれた真教上人が甲斐の国一帯を、永仁3年 1295 に留錫、遊行されたのです。 時信の促しにより、舎弟の宗信 貞和5年 1349没 は時衆の教団に入り、以後14年間、遊行廻国を続け、正和元年 1312 に、兄 時信を開基として一蓮寺を開山したのです。 分かりやすく申すならば、一条氏 時信 が真教上人に 二百の数の珠数で念仏する場合、百八の珠数で念仏するより時間が短かくてたくさんできるが という問いに答えて、 数は数のためでなくて、念々相続するためのものである。 天正11 1583 築城が開始され、天正19 1591 加藤光泰、領主となり、引き続き築城をすすめ、2年の後、浅野長政により完成したのです。 天正11年 1583 甲府城の築城にかかり、文禄2年 1593 に完成したことになります。
