I could use a hug: An early New Year's resolution...
http://icoulduseahug.blogspot.com/2008/12/early-new-years-resolution.html
I could use a hug. Saturday, December 20, 2008. An early New Year's resolution. I'm going to blog on a semi-regular basis. I think. See - I opened up this account earlier this year under the naïve. Assumption that I would be miraculously motivated into better dedicating myself to art since it would be exposed in the "public" eye. My first and last art post was in January - I haven't touched this site since. Clearly this whole experiment in motivation is working gangbusters for me as an artist.
I could use a hug: I'm rather refreshed, thank you.
http://icoulduseahug.blogspot.com/2009/01/im-rather-refreshed-thank-you.html
I could use a hug. Thursday, January 1, 2009. I'm rather refreshed, thank you. So my celebration yesterday consisted of a hefty amount of cleaning, sorting, recycling and hoping. I packed up some good memories, tossed out unpleasant reminders and readied myself for bigger and better moments to come. I did enjoy a cocktail or two in the process – the evening wasn’t totally wasted on the practical. February 5, 2009 at 11:24 PM. Why can't you take fish with you? Or is that blasphemous? Have a virtual seat.
I could use a hug: February 2009
http://icoulduseahug.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
I could use a hug. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. I am quite full; may I be excused? This one's going to be LONG and all over the place, so please bear with me. (Or just don't read it.). What crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy days these past five have been. My quintuplet of craziness began this past Thursday with moving day. Since then it's been meal after meal of character building borscht. Let me break this down:. Menu for Day One:. 3 insanely slow-moving movers. 23 rolls of Cha-ching tape. Drained, of ...
I could use a hug: Smoking Section
http://icoulduseahug.blogspot.com/2009/06/smoking-section.html
I could use a hug. Monday, June 15, 2009. When I moved into this apartment earlier this year, the management took pains to remind me that this is a "non-smoking community" and that they don't tolerate smoking inside the apartments. I assured them I was not a smoker and got this look from one of the staff members who made it a point to say again, "yeah, we absolutely do not tolerate smoking here.". A problem smoker, do you? I just don't see myself renewing my lease at the end of the year, so it seems like...
I could use a hug: Hugs for guns...
http://icoulduseahug.blogspot.com/2009/06/guns-for-hugs.html
I could use a hug. Thursday, June 11, 2009. I've been gone a while, haven't I? Been keeping busy with the whole "settling in" bit but mostly feeling retarded because of how long it's actually taking. Here's something hug-related. I meant to blog about this back when the article was actually new. True to form, I'm posting it a couple of weeks late:. Http:/ www.nytimes.com/2009/05/28/style/28hugs.html? W T F Right? Handshakes and high fives are. Boring. Facebook is making us more socially awkward in th...

Sometimes i prefer the company of crayons. Monday, August 2, 2010. I'm off to Hawaii for the rest of the week. In honor of the mini holiday, am offering up this quickie luau pig. Sometimes i prefer the company of crayons. Thursday, May 13, 2010. One more post. This one's an "art jam" assignment from a few weeks back, but I couldn't resist posting it seeing how Betty White is such a hot commodity at the moment. If the "Golden Girls" were an animated series, I think it'd go a little something like this. Or not. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Las Vegas, NV, United States. Sometimes i prefer the company of crayons. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. I get it. No one in the world will ever see this blog except me. I am totally aware of this. Nevertheless, I shall post on. If only for me. And on that note, here are two new paintings for, uh, me to enjoy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Las Vegas, NV, United States. If the "Golden Girls" were an animated series, I think it'd go a little something like this. Or not. I was told to never work with children or animals. Or was that just in film? I forget. At any rate, here's a little Illustrator quickie in honor of that golden rule.
Meanwhile, on a Small Farm in Kansas...: 07.2009
http://edamico.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Meanwhile, on a Small Farm in Kansas. Writing Is Fun, Just Like Dental Surgery. Where to Start, When to Finish. Where to start. When to finish. This was the most simplistic expression of my answer, and the first, that came to mind if I allowed myself to be completely honest. Deconstructing each portion of the answer, however, was slightly more complex, however bordering on commonplace. Finishing is just as difficult. Should this be the last drink? Should I call this relationship finally over?

Sometimes i prefer the company of crayons. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. I may be a digital painting NOOB. But I'm having so much fun I don't care. It's so different from my Illustrator work, I'll have to learn to find a way to get the two styles to meet. Practice, practice, practice. I'm sure. At any rate, here are a couple of studies from my lessons:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Las Vegas, NV, United States. Vegas-based, quasi-hackneyed graphic artist or something like that. Sometimes i prefer the company of crayons. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Well, it seemed like a good idea. I'm going to start an art blog. It'll be great motivation to start drawing again.". Cut to almost two years later. nada. Sheesh. Guess I should actually post some art to this art blog, huh? Here are some Japan-themed scribbles. Because I'm sort of missing Japan lately (but only the food, really. not the crazed, homicidal geishas):. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Las Vegas, NV, United States. It's mrs. ed.

Meanwhile, on a Small Farm in Kansas...: The Thin Skin of a Bubble
http://edamico.blogspot.com/2009/02/thin-skin-of-bubble.html
Meanwhile, on a Small Farm in Kansas. Writing Is Fun, Just Like Dental Surgery. The Thin Skin of a Bubble. While driving around in the early evening this Saturday, I had the rare opportunity (at least for me) to catch the best game show on NPR, Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me. Or another seminal work of Shakespeare’s, but I could be totally off base. The next was regarding a new experimental version of The Death of a Salesman. This got me thinking. We’ve seen the raping of television properties as the...While l...

I Could Use A Nap
I Could Use A Nap. Friday, February 12, 2010. Its been a while. Christmas in Santa Fe, New Mexico. (Baby Kathleen missed out on this. She sleeping in the stroller). It has been quite some time since I blogged. A lot has happened in the life of the Jones family. We've suffered much tragedy, but we've also had many many blessings. God is faithful and has been faithful to us. For some reason we can't resist taking these goofy up close shots. First road trip for Kathleen. A fun visit to New Orleans. The next...
