Banff is roughly one hour and thirty minutes from Calgary International Airport. There are frequent shuttles and busses, and rental cars can be obtained at the airport. For those travelling from outside Canada, Calgary International Airport has daily direct flights to and from Europe (Heathrow and Frankfurt) and the numerous cities in the United States. Please see the Calgary Airport.

We recommend that you arrive on Sunday the 26th (or earlier), and stay until Saturday April 1 (or later). Accommodations are in Lloyd Hall or the Professional Development Centre. Room costs will be $185 or $195 per day including the three meals. If rooms are shared then the. Cost is $125 or $130 per person per day (assuming double occupancy). Accommodation costs include three meals per day* in the Dining Hall. These prices are in Canadian Dollars, and that they are subject to applicable taxes.

At present there are two workshops scheduled in association with ICS-8. Both are being held in Banff. 2nd International Riometer Workshop, March 25-26, 2006. Storm-Substorm Relationship Workshop, March 24 and 25, 2006.

Abstracts must be submitted by January 25th in order for the paper to be considered for a talk. Abstracts will be accepted after January 25, but those papers will be posters. If the primary author is not the presenting author, please indicate which of the auditional authors is the presenting author with an asterix by his or her name (ie., R. Smith, J. Brown*). There is no abstract fee, and authors may submit more than one abstract, however we will limit presenting authors to no more than one talk.
