Tuesday, July 28, 2009. The Belated Update on the Second Chemo. I was looking for the update. On my emails and couldn't find the one after my second chemo. Uh.that's because I didn't write one. I was going to put it on this blog, but I got side-tracked with the backgrounds, etc. So, here is the update about 3 weeks late. Tomorrow is my 3rd chemo, so I'm getting this in just under the wire. Sunday, February 14, 2010. My Hair is Growing. Here is the picture I promised months ago. Better late than never. My hair is curly. I've always had straight hair unless it was permed. I still wear the wig a lot because it's still winter and cold. It's actually a hat and it looks good, so it works for me. I will go natural when the weather changes. Friday, August 28, 2009. In the evenings, Jerry and I have watched a movie or looked at houses in Las Vegas on the internet. We are getting serious about wintering in Vegas when Jerry retires next year. The thought of driving in the snow and ice doesn't appeal to us after we are retired. Monday, August 23, 2010. We are Leaving for Uruguay. We started a new blog for our mission, and the link is in my list of blogs. I hope you get a chance to check it out. I will probably not write here too many more times. One interesting thing that links both blogs is that the date I leave for Uruguay is the year anniversary of my last chemo treatment! Sunday, September 5, 2010. The Great Salem Adventure. One of our favorite experiences this summer was our visit to Salem, Oregon, when we met up with the oldest friends Jemayla and I have (meaning, friends we've had ever since we were a couple). We spent several days mooching off of them and making them teach us how to make omelets, but they were still sad when we finally left. Is that true friendship or what? On one memorable day we went to a carousel and park with Matt, Megan, and their three goofy boys.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. During a school fundraiser for African children, I promised my 3rd hour class that I would allow them to dye/shave my hair if they raised $100 dollars. They ended up raising $98.22, so I thought I was off the hook.
