Monday, May 21, 2007. Middle Fork Salmon River May 16th to May 20th - Boundary Creek to Cache Bar. This is the story of another river trip down the Middle Fork. This one is a little different in that a road had to be opened, log jams ( that cleared themselves out) and possible portages. And a fly in of gear. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Spring Middle Fork with Kelly Two Ravens. After years of putting in for permits with my group of river buds, a new friend from snowboarding put in with us and actually drew a permit. Beginners luck I am thinking. Kelly came over from the Jackson area with her kayak, digeridoo and the permit to take a bunch of Idaho river trash down the river with her. And we are thankful. Greg came down from Montana to join the Idaho clan - big smile after smoothing Velvet. Camp at Marble Right.

Friday, June 8, 2007. Trinity's first River Trip. As it was everything went great. Trin slept through Velvet and Haystack. She lost her first tooth at Rock Island and the Tooth Fairy found us there and she soaked at Sheepeater, Sunflower and Hospital Bar. She was also the first to see the bighorn sheep in the lower canyon and she didn't complain once on that very chilly last day float out. Trin got a horseback ride with some packers who were camped on the upper bench at Sheepeater. Links to this post.

Saturday, October 20, 2007. Fall on the Middle Fork October 6th - October 12th. Never done it so late, or have I ever seen the river so beautiful. These are sights to make you wonder a bit as you drive to the putin. And then we came to the tree section. From Sheepeater down to Lake Creek, Pistol Creek area, trees were visible down in the river almost the entire time. Sometimes several together and often at least half way across. These were some that were more than halfway. Links to this post.
