Looking at two economies - US and Indian economy for instance - they can maintain their relative strength or weakness, as long as there is no connetion between them. Once a connection is established between them they are bound to be equalized, with time. It will happen eventually. Outsourcing is probably the means by which the equalization will happen. Thoughts and all that. Friday, June 17, 2011. As always, I have no idea why the market goes up when it does and why it goes down. Was under the impression that companies are reporting strong earnings, recovery is holding up pretty good. Then suddenly S&P-500 drop to 1270 this week. Greece is the problem now? No idea why AAPL should be trading with forward PE of 11, $320/share. Steve Job's health is a concern there? Most tech companies I look at have P/E close to or less than 10! Thoughts and all that. Friday, April 06, 2012. Ok good, where do I go from here? One note, I though I will never see a stock with P/E less than 5. But that wish has been fulfilled by F trading at $12.5 and P/E of 2.5 :) and closely followed by RIMM at $12.6 now with P/E of 5.7! Talking about low P/E beaten down stocks, look at JPM at $44, P/E of 9.9 with 2.7% dividend yield! It has gone by 50% recently. When AAPL was added to the list on Dec 31, I didn't have any clue about Iphone. The AAPL recommendation was based on a speculation on good IPOD and MAC sales. Anyway, here is the summary for this week on the recommendations. MRVL - - - 20.3 ( 10.5% from 18.36 ). SAY - - - - 24.3 ( 15.2% from 21.09 ). AMGN- - - 73.2 ( - 2.2% from 74.87 ).
