My dad and I drove down to Vegas from Calgary this week, with a detour to Yellowstone National Park. It was a long drive but beautiful and we had a really good road trip. I'm Jewish. I'm vegan. I like food. Friday, February 29, 2008. My first sourdough bread! As such, it took my starter longer than the instructions suggested it would to actually be viable. In my sourdough ignorance, I tried to use it before it was ready and man was that dough tough. And it didn't rise; not one bit. So I threw it out, waited several days (and a couple of more feedings) and actually got my dough to rise. Woohoo! Your bread looks beautiful! Wow, are you sure you're not a bread-baking expert?

It’s just that my activities have been more – more desperate, more challenging, more. Even I’m not sure how to thoroughly explain the way I felt I have been living for the past couple of months, but it’s been strange. This semester is throwing a wrench into my normally ambitious self.
