House Renovations {summary in pic's}. I realize I could write individual blogs on each of the redo areas, but to give you a sneak peak, here are a few photos. The main foyer (that's our front door). CHANGES: We removed (lots of) wallpaper, changed the light, added hardwood floors throughout foyer, dining area and into kitchen. Took coat closet door off updated the look for a sitting bench and baskets/hooks. Painted walls gray, replaced white base boards/trim and removed the beautiful spindles. So that's ...

I decided to change up my hairstyle recently by adding bangs. Not sure when I've had them last? Maybe in grade school. :). I finally got a few of our family pic's converted to canvas. Living Social was having 50% off deals so I jumped at the chance. I did get another 12x12 but it's not finished yet - it's of our wedding day. Jamie and Joy George. Links to this post. Five years ago today, I married my best friend. It's crazy we've been married for 5 years already! Jamie and Joy George. Links to this post.

The George's: First camping trip with the boys
http://jamieandjoy.blogspot.com/2013/08/first-camping-trip-with-boys.html
First camping trip with the boys. We got to experience camping with the boys for the first time. We were too chicken before to try. I would say that overall, it was a success. I guess as successful as camping can be, right? Some rain no sleep = "typical camping". We left on Sunday and got back this morning. We drove about 50 minutes from our house and headed towards Estes Park to Camp Dick, or so we thought. A couple months ago we made our reservation online. And they need more. We were close to a trail ...

Kudos to stay-at-home moms. Being a stay-at-home mom is SO hard. This is the first time for me to do it, and I'm not quite 2 weeks into it! I applaud all women. I'd go back to work, and where. I'd go back to work. Both of those things are unsure right now. We know that I'll stay at home until we get fully settled into our new home. We hope/pray we close mid-May. I've always told Jamie that I'm happy to become a full time stay-at-home mom when both of the boys are in school full time! So this me just bein...

I'm not sure how to start this post except that change. Is about to head our way. In the last few weeks we learned that Jamie's position at our church (Associate Pastor) will come to a close at the end of this year. Due to the budget they cannot keep him on for 2013. Therefore.as of our yesterday, our house went on the market. Not to mention the relationships we've built outside of TLC having lived here in Denver the past five years. Who knows, God could keep us here (? Here in Denver, send 'em our way!

Potty Training Boot Camp. We started Potty Training Boot Camp today. Eagan is officially 2 years and 3 1/2 months, and I am tired of changing and buying diapers. I'm not using any specific method - just the same way I did with Breeson 2 years ago. Breeson was just this age when I potty trained him. In fact, it was Labor Day weekend,. Here's all of the goods to make it happen. Not pictured is the poster board diagram in which he gets to put. The stickers on when he pee-pee's/poops). And we have success!

Waldo Canyone Wildfire - near Colorado Springs, CO. Jamie and Joy George. Links to this post. Birthday Party (1 and 3 years). As I had mentioned in an earlier post, we celebrated the boys' birthdays in Kansas this year, where they got to do it with Grandparents, cousins, and friends. Since we flew in the day before, we just kind of threw things together. I was pleased though with the turn out and was thankful to everyone who came. He was sad that it was almost done! When he realized that he still had som...

We've had some nice weather lately, so we took advantage of it and road bikes, went on walks, and I even went for a quick run the other day. We don't typically make New Years Resolutions, at least we don't write them down. But I think we are like most people and "plan" to change our eating habits and start exercising more as we start the new year off. I enjoy smoothies but just don't make them often. However, I'm going to try and be better at making them so I can be better at my veggie intake. At the bas...
