Thursday, January 14, 2010. Elijah's having his Hickman line out today! Excited. It's going to be baths every night from now on. I love clean babies, haha. We just found out yesterday that he should be getting it done about 1:30pm today, finally! So we'll be heading off to Starship soon. Apart from the odd day Elijah's just been doing so well and I've been getting that proud parent feeling as Elijah makes his little advances and discoveries, like when he discovered self-will. Was chanted as we pulled out of the hospital car park last Wednesday (Jan, 12th) and headed straight for Movenpick, Mission Bay, as a celebratory ice-cream was in order! As I licked up that maple walnutty goodness the sense of relief I had first felt as I walked out of the doctor's room that day came and settled around me peacefully and I savoured the sweet moment. Monday, December 28, 2009. Been meaning to say. For a little while now but I've been caught up in decking the halls. Slipping right into that. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. End of the "golden" weather. Now that's pretty advanced and he's saying a new sentence everyday. 65279;. I've even taken a three day trip away from Steve and Elijah these past school holidays knowing that Elijah will be alright without me, now that's a nice feeling. In my last blog entry I wrote about a growth hormone issue that was worrying me as the medication to take for it can aggravate tumour growth which is not a dilemma I was wanting to face! Sunday, January 1, 2012. A lot has happen this year. Elijah is doing so much better than we ever thought he would, he can now say over 30 words. He had his port removed and his MRI from a few months ago showed a reduction of the tumour in up to 1/2 a cm which I've decided is a miracle as this is the first time it's ever happened and with no apparent explanation!
