如果我們每天能夠經歷神1件事 , 那我們經歷神1萬件事需要27年的時間 , 這些事件(episodes)可能伴隨著各種悲歡離合與喜怒哀樂 , 像是股票指數一樣充滿起起伏伏(ups and downs) , 若我們用放大鏡去看某一件事在當時可能覺得沒有益處或受虧損 , 但用長線角度來看 , 每一件事的背後都記錄著神的愛與恩典 , 例如 : 約瑟被賣與約瑟被神抬舉為埃及宰相 , 中間跨越了13年, 基督的應許在這兩件事上創了始也成了終 萬事(每件事)的鋪陳都是為了成就祂所應許的救恩. 你以恩典為年歲的冠冕 , 在我們的路徑上都滴下了脂油 詩篇 65:11. 一個基督徒多年以來每天都會跟神做同一個禱告 : "主啊 , 求祢挪開我身上的蜘蛛絲" , 直到有一天在禱告後有了天上的回應 : "我的寶血常常遮蓋你 , 但你卻不願意踩死那隻蜘蛛" , 原來那隻擄人的蜘蛛精從他未信主以前 , 就一直是他心愛的寵物 . 即便信主還是捨不得殺死牠. 耶和華的使者向基甸顯現、對他說、大能的勇士阿、耶和華與你同在。 基甸說、主阿、耶和華若與我們同在、我們何至遭遇這一切事呢? 有時神藉著苦難使我們軟弱, 是為了使我們謙卑,.
