Public School - Greco-Roman Pantheon. July 22nd, 2004. In public high school here in Greensboro, NC, USA, we were taught that the Roman Gods were nothing but renamed Greek gods. This is not true! Roman mythology's roots are from the Etruscans. Then as Rome started to conquer land, they would incorporate the gods of the conquered into their religion.
