Islamic art is both beautiful and spiritual. You will rarely see depictions of humans or animals as this can be interpreted as idolatory which is prohibited in Islamic law. It is strange coming from a western christian society were we see images of Christ and his disciples as almost every form of religious art, and it is quite ingenious how the Islamic culture has found ways to artistically portray their faith without using images of people and animals to depict a story.
