Monday, October 30, 2006. Vahid's arrival in Costa Rica. David's singing partner, Vahid Ndobe (who's from Cameroon), arrived yesterday for a long-awaited visit. He arrived late and awakened to a glorious CR morning. Later we all took off for our favorite tourist spot, La Paz. And had a great day there. Here they're standing in front of one of the five waterfalls (there are water spots on the lense from the light drizzle):. The guide mentioned that they stay that way for a week! One nevah knows, do one?

Monday, January 29, 2007. In case anyone noticed, I had posted the following photo showing Gianni with her baby bump.but had to remove it because she and David were afraid that her Puerto Rican family would get wind of the pregnancy before their trip and they wanted it to be a surprise. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Our great friend, Tom Solan (my ex-partner in the construction business, now living in Oregon) just arrived for a short visit. He came over to the house today with grand daughter, Valeria, and grandson, Javid. They just pigged out on the home-made tortillas and McKinney special Humos, plus a brown rice dish that Julie made. Saturday, January 20, 2007. Taking advantage of a less horrible hair day - my hair sticks straight out usually in this dry (indoor at least) climate. Posted by The Hicks of Costa Rica @ 4:24 PM. Iced in for 2 days. The interstates running through town were closed for 2-1/2 days - they are high in the air and took a long time to thaw/be treated with stuff - and the stuff they treated it with ended up eating the lane markers off!
