It was heartbreaking to see how she'd deteriorated. I'm still not entirely sure she recognized me. In December, when I'd seen her last, my mom told her that I'd come from Washington to see her. And she looked amazed that I'd traveled such a distance. She sort of understood it. In March, she didn't even really speak. Getting out of dodge. I've been quiet lately mostly because there hasn't been much to say. Since school ended, I've been enjoying the life of a regular DC civillian. I read far too many magazines, journals, and books, discuss politics and foreign policy with my colleagues and friends alike, go out to dinner and even make a few new things, and generally feel like I'm melting every time I leave the house. Thursday we'll take a train back to Michigan, only this time to Kalamazoo, home of Vahan's alma mater.

There was another little boy camping next to us that the boys befriended.it was nice for them to have someone new to play with :o). Camden is turning into quite the punk. He just jumped up in the seat on top of Caden and wouldn't let him up. Camden is getting ready to go "surfing" at the indoor pool.
