However, this is a challenging task. First, a constant distance is extremely important for a clean cut and secondly exist extremely high temperatures in triple torch burner units. The sensor system CSC 500 ensures that the set distance is measured correctly and the motor controller of the linear drive delivers a precise signal.

In each of its main ranges, IHT has two different variants for plasma cutting ( M 4000 ARC / C 1000 ARC and M 4000 PCS / C 1000 PCS). These two versions (ARC and PCS) differ in the way they operate, their levels of functionality and the number of cutting parameters that can be configured. Here I explain the difference. Cutting height mode, often called the "IHT mode“ is a better choice than the traditional "arc vol¬tage mode" because it is the all important clearance distance between the workpiece and gas nozzle that needs to be maintained not the actual arc voltage.
