Saturday, June 16, 2012. Wow it has been a while! This next picture is the cutting cake that I made for one of my best girls! I had the wonderful opportunity to also be a bridesmaid, but was very excited that she only asked for a cutting cake instead of a full on tier cake for the reception. I love the cake toppers she choose, penguins, best part they actually are salt and pepper shakers! They were very cute and definitely suited the couple. I just couldn't be happier for these two! Ash of all trades.

Monday, November 14, 2011. So a friend asked for a great pie crust recipe, this is one of the best ones my mom and I have found that does not use shortening. My mom found it in Better Homes and Garden magazine Nov 2010 from chef Alan Carter http:/ www.bhg.com/recipes/desserts/other-desserts/delectable-fall-desserts/? However, it is no longer listed on the site) It can be made for a sweet or savory pie. And yes, I will be using this recipe for my own pies this year. 3 3/4 c all purpose flour (AP flour).

Saturday, August 4, 2012. Here is the apple cake recipe I told you about a few weeks ago, and here are the pictures and recipe! I used a bundt cake pan, but you can use any type of cake pan and arrange sliced apples in a fun creative way. This is a very moist but light apple cake. May last only a couple of days unless kept in the fridge. Great way to use up extra apples. 1 1/2 - 2 cups apples-Peeled small dice with a squeeze of lemon juice. In a medium size saute pan add:. 1/2 cup brown sugar.
