A pasty-white ginger with a fascination with string, beauty, and photography. I took the time to finally sit down and plan out the things I would truly like to accomplish this year. Sure, I’d love to lose twenty pounds, but that hasn’t worked any other year. This year I’m aiming for more manageable goals. 2 Knit a sweater. 4 Try beads in knitting. 1 Reduce clutter. I live with my parents! I should not have this much stuff! 2 Start saving more! If not for emergencies, then for this move. You are commentin...

Rhinebeck 2010 | Little Ginger Knits
https://littlegingerknits.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/rhinebeck-2010
A pasty-white ginger with a fascination with string, beauty, and photography. One of the appeals of coming to the northeast was the fiber community. There is a significant population of people who are more appreciative to fiber here, than there is in Texas. In Texas there is nothing like Rhinebeck and I had to wait patiently for three years to finally come. I came, I saw, I spent. Many sold knitted goods…. To accessories and cute buttons…. To lots of yarn, fleece, and luscious fiber goods! I had a fantas...

A pasty-white ginger with a fascination with string, beauty, and photography. When I went to Rhinebeck I brought along the mentality that I was going to go overboard. I was going to empty my meager budget on fibery goodness and no food or hotel. This actually held me back! So what did I get from the. This is from Clover Lear Farms. It’s four ounces of blue face leicester in the colorway of Triberry Pie. Also from Clover Leaf Farms, this is an 80/20 mix of wool and silk in the colorway of Red. It’s ...

Knitting in Chicago: December 2007
http://knittinginchicago.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Things I have knit and not posted about: Part 1. Pattern: Cap Karma Hat. Yarn: Malabrigo Merino worsted. Goodbye, Christmas. See you again next year. Whoa, where have I been? The older you get the more stressful Christmas seems to be. Remember the days when all you had to do was wake up Christmas morning? There was no shopping, no traveling, and no splitting time between families. Those were the days. I also got 2 years subscription to Martha Stewart Living. What a lucky, lucky girl I am!

Knitting in Chicago: Creepy?
http://knittinginchicago.blogspot.com/2007/12/creepy.html
Does anyone else think this picture is a little creepy? It is the Kitty pattern. From the Winter issue of Knitty. Once I scrolled down and saw the second picture, I felt a little better. But that first picture, man. Creepy. Totally creepy. In that first picture, the whiskers look like trails of rabid spittle (boy, I have a way with words today). The Winter Knitty is out? What rock have I been under? December 7, 2007 at 1:15 PM. Dude, you're totally right. the first picture looks vicious.

Knitting in Chicago: September 2007

Stripey Socks make me happy. I finished a pair of socks! Unfortunately you only get to see one of the pair due to camera lens error E18. (I found out my camera is still under warranty and I think I should be fixing it within the week) Anyways, I used Knit Picks Felici yarn in Hummingbird. It is 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon. I didn't really use a pattern but followed along with the Sock Knitter's Companion. That I found a link to from Twisted Knitter. Hopefully things will slow down a bit here&...
