She began violin studies in Tel-Aviv with Maya Glezarova, then at Cambridge University (U.K.) and Hochschule für Musik, Detmold, Germany and finally in Switzerland at The Schola Cantorum Basel for postgraduate studies with Chiara Banchini. Ilana won numerous scholarships while participating in master classes with Nathan Milstein, Geza Kapas and the Borodin Quartet. The Newport Baroque Orchestra, Rhode Island.
