當您熟練了濕黏土(含銀膏)的造形及應用之後, 我們可以開始了解如何將銀黏土乾燥, 以及銀黏土乾燥後的特性及表面處理方法. 當銀黏土的水份揮發時, 重量會變較輕, 顏色也會變淡, 乾燥可分成2個階段, 表面乾燥階段銀黏土仍含有少量水份, 適合用筆刀或雕刻刀做雕刻作業, 而且很容易和另一塊銀黏土接合 (只要在接合處抹一點水), 在燒成之前必須讓銀黏土完全乾燥, 完全乾燥後的銀黏土, 仍然可以用手鑽來鑽孔, 雕刻花紋. 也可以用銼刀或砂紙做表面的研磨, 以下介紹幾種讓銀黏土乾燥的方法. 可以在作品底部墊一塊乾的泡棉或直接將作品放在架空的鐵網上, 讓空氣可以整個圍繞作品, 可以加快銀黏土的水份揮發. 用鞋盒做一個乾燥箱, 在鞋盒的側邊開一個洞(讓吹風機的嘴可以伸入), 必要的話可以用膠帶固定吹風機與鞋盒, 另外在鞋盒的蓋子上開3個直徑1公分的圓孔讓水氣排出. 鞋盒的底部放一塊乾的海棉擺放銀黏土作品. 注意: 如果需要暫時離開, 吹風機必須停止烘乾作業以免危險! 可以很迅速地讓銀黏土乾燥, 而且它的價格不貴(約2-3百元), 可以在網路商店(如PChome)買到. 也是一個很好用的材料, 它的價格便宜(每包120...
