I love you baby. My journey with a baby. Monthly Archives: June 2014. Petr A. at 6 weeks old. June 29, 2014. Petr Abel is growing up fast. Eating, pooping and sleeping a lot. Well, the sleeping is not established at all, but sometimes he does give me a break and lasts up to 5hours. Usually, every two hours is the norm. I’m tired. Exclusively breastfeeding,. My oldest turned two. It is a bit unreal. Anyway, gotta go. Will post some more later xxx. June 24, 2014. Two and a half months.

Thursday, December 27, 2012. Our Adoption Video.only seventeen months later :). I've been thinking a lot lately about the concept of 'before' and 'after.'. Especially when dealing with bad news. I will never forget the few moments before I got the call about my Dad suffering his stroke. I was happily packing up my stuff and getting ready to walk out the door to go to work. DH was walking up the street returning from a run. She managed to say before I hung up. Dad had a stroke. I wanted to be a mother.

A Cup of Tea. A blog of ramblings on our journey towards becoming parents. Wednesday, 30 May 2012. I'm 36 weeks today, according to the WTE app I'm in my 37th week and thus full term! I know I keep saying it but that's just crazy! We have 4 weeks left till d-day (due date), I go back and forward on whether I think we will go early or late now. I am hoping to go around the 20th - about 7/8 days early so I have a little time getting used to caring for a newborn before my parents arrive! 30 May 2012 at 12:01.

Zachary is 3 weeks old. Sorry for disappearing. In short, all is well. In long… well, Zachary is not Timothy. Timothy was an awesome night sleeper the moment he was born. Feed him, swaddle him, put him down, forget about him for 3-5 hours. So after 2 hours of eating and crying he’d fall asleep… only to wake up an hour later for it’s been 3 hours and he’s hungry again. Hmmmm…. early labour? This feels like labour. It could be braxton Hicks, but idk… Around 3 pm today as I was leaving my friend’s place, I started feeling uncomfortable tightening in my belly. It felt like mild diarrhoea or menstrual cramps. They didn’t go away. Even after I had a bowel movement. Decided to go get checked – aaaand I’m in labour. Contractions are every 2 minutes (thank god I’m not feeling them all… yet…) but only 1 cm dilated and cervix still long. My gyno is actually here – she said she thought we might try a VBAC, but seeing that such frequent contractions are doing nothing to progress my labour – I’m being prepped for c-section.
