My UAE 'Bakeeet List'. I am nearing the end of my fourth year here in UAE and I am seriously considering this to be my last year in this country (unless I managed to get myself employed at some really cool and amazing companies like, say, FlyDubai or Emirates, where I can get discounted airline tickets and all that jazz). 2) Dubai Miracle Garden. I'm not fond of flowers. I used to pick Santan flowers from my neighbor's yard, but that was so I can taste its sweet nectar and make necklaces. Other t...I wil...

After that episode, we never really talked. We acted the same as usual, just the normal greetings and work-related assistance. Until yesterday, that is. And the conversation turned awkward, but surprisingly, made me feel better. And after that conversation, he started acting deredere. The pokes, the small pats on the back, the winks. too much flirtations. I have a feeling he is trying to make me like him. Some guys really just can't get enough. The easy path to piggyness. Easy recipes for filipino. Papa ...

An Addition to the Habit List. If I had known sooner that having this is good, I would've invited myself to the boys' random shisha sessions in the accommodation. Thank you KontraBida for enlightening me on this one. You are good for something. Sir, I will take one week leave. I will go to Nepal. And so it will happen. Jusme, mga pinapasok kong bagay. And so to wrap up 2013, here are the biggest moments (good and bad):. 1) Enjoyed Philippines. Lost a very dear friend. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

...into what?: The Price of Free Soda
http://the-becoming.blogspot.com/2014/06/the-price-of-free-soda.html
The Price of Free Soda. I don't like sodas. Haven't drank it for a very long time. I prefer having juice - water, even - as chaser when I'm drinking liquor. But I went to a restaurant today, ordered a Filipino meal, and got a soda as a free treat. I decided against drinking it but they don't offer service water, so I told myself I'd just drink when I get home. And so I drank water upon reaching the house. But why, oh why, is this country so freakin' hot? So I went for it. My UAE Bakeeet List.

Something was off yesterday. I don't know if it's the slow changes in season that was causing the hormonal imbalance in people (I was feeling so hot. These past few days, as in literally sweating when it is supposed to be winter), or was I emitting some kind of pheromone that I was approached by two guys suggesting some rather yummy activities during/after work hours. But I guess it did not work for some. It did the reverse, though. You're a friend. I was only joking. I Don't Know What to Make of This.

Music that was Never Heard, and Probably Will Never be Heard Ever. I don’t know why I keep downloading Jpop – singles and albums – even from artists I am not interested in, yet a few bloggers and reviewers deemed worthy of their money or HD space. What will I ever do with them? Waste of CDs, waste of money, waste of marker ink, waste of HD space, waste of those little folded papers where I write the name of the artists and their respective releases, waste of cabinet space, argggh! What to do, yani. The L...

UAE, Qatar, Kuwait: Oh Yeah. Our outlet closed. The rumour turned out to be true and since it happened, things have gone crazy around here. This is the first time I've done four packings in a matter of one month and the company played us real hard and my goodness.do we deserve this suffering? But wait, there's more! If you think that we will be packing one last time, you're dead wrong. Coz what's the fun of finishing the NPA-ness of Jimi staff? Goodness, is Middle East getting smaller or what?

I knew we were gonna get separated, but still I went for it. Impulses. While waiting for the time. My Nepali [male] friends asked me when I'll get married. I told them that after two years I plan to have baby. Kaliwali husband. They started scolding me. I should marry first before having a baby. The baby should have a proper family. They are sure I can get a good husband like *Hayup* and *Bespren* (funny how they mentioned married guys whom I got into some kind of something before). Ahhh, and then.

Ever since 2014 began, I started doing this stuff I don't usually do in the past. It is troublesome, but somehow I end up feeling very satisfied after doing it. When I moved in this country, I survived by heating up food in the microwave, putting jam or butter on my bread, having dinner at a friend's house, and even as far as considering coffee as a satisfying stomach filler. I searched around the web for recipes. I tried them, and put pepper without hesitation. Ah, it was bliss! Papa to Musume no Nanokan.
