This is the view from one of my favorite places. A storm has ended, but as usual it lingers over the Continental Divide. We're looking west from a ridge above the YMCA camp near Estes Park, Colorado. I spent summers as a child here, and would come to this point daily to watch the light change over the mountains. Posted by Larry at 8:03 AM. In this imag...

http://imageoftheweek.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html

Image of the Week. Thursday, March 31, 2005. I rode over the hill to have lunch with a friend. It being flower season, I took my camera with its macro lens. It was lovely and windy. Bees were very busy in this poppy bush. In this image, a bee is on final approach, blurry because it's out of the lens' depth of field. You can still see the orange blob of its pollen baskets on its back legs. Posted by Larry at 5:16 PM. Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Posted by Larry at 5:23 PM. Santa Anita Canyon, California.

Last Exit Before Oblivion: March 2005

http://lastexitbefore.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html

Last Exit Before Oblivion. Wednesday, March 30, 2005. It should be simple. God saw that Adam was alone, put him to sleep, took out a rib and made a woman so they could be companions. "It isn't good that man is alone." Yet from this simple act has grown dating, valentines, fancy restaurants, insecurity and guilt. I figured I was better off without it. Life was complex enough. Accurate as that assessment may be, it seems to be little help in the real world, How does one build bridges between people? I neve...

Image of the Word | Putting the moral back into the story

Image of the Word. Putting the moral back into the story. February 3, 2013. Okay, I really try to get around to logging in to blog, but … well, here is a short one shared with the folks attached to me on facebook. A simple truth. Pass it on. Jesus showed us His exclusivity as THE Way in John 14:6. If there were other ways to THE FATHER, other than Him (Christ), then why did He have to die? Why did He have to come to live among us (Emmanuel – “God with us”)? June 1, 2012. Please read the bible and weigh a...
