What is phoTEX . Is the trade name of the process used to create the pictures on this website. A series of digital photographs, often up to 100, are captured, then 10-25 of these are merged and manipulated using computer software. Varying textures are introduced, and perspective is enhanced. A photograph, with texture. Thats phoTEX . For the technically minded, images are captured on a Nikon D1x/Nikon D2xs camera in RAW NEF Format at 32MB and Adobe Photoshop software is used for image manipulation.

All images on this site are low resolution. To give an indication of comparable image quality, the images shown contain around 250,000 pixels. Full size 1 metre prints contain around 40 million pixels. The pictures are printed using top quality materials, including lightfast ink, by the Giclée Printing process. As a result, images are not suitable for downloading or copying from the website. Any attempt to do so will not only disappoint, but if for other than private use, may lead to prosecution.
