The Queen of Hearts. Removed from the wall of a “cafe” in Huddersfield, whilst on display in 2013. I liked painting this and it was embarrassing calling the owner to tell them that it had gone missing. It’s a hand finished gouache and indian ink stained hahnemuhle rag print, and a one off. I named it the Queen of Hearts, a reference to ‘Alice in Wonderland’, the Pub in the center is called the King’s Head. This entry was posted in Houses. May 21, 2014.
