Chillin' with Oppy: March 2006
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. As anyone that's ever been to Portland knows, Powell's Books. Is an amazing place. It's the largest used and new bookstore in the world, and you could easily spend days wandering the place without ever seeing everything it has to offer. For anyone with the slightest interest in books, or even no interest at all, it's not to be missed. Posted by Oppy @ 3/28/2006. Wednesday, March 08, 2006. His first album, and.

Chillin' with Oppy: October 2005
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Thursday, October 20, 2005. Not that we really need another list or anything, but who am I kidding? I love this stuff. I have a strange fascination with lists, especially those relating to books, movies, sports, etc. Especially books. In this case, it's Time Magazines recent 100 Greatest Novels. Posted by Oppy @ 10/20/2005. And now it's official.we own Memorial Stadium! Posted by Oppy @ 10/20/2005. Friday, October 14, 2005. I showed my ...

Chillin' with Oppy: December 2005
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Thursday, December 22, 2005. You know, I tried to keep my list of holiday recommendations fairly short yesterday, so I didn't spend very long on it. And of course, while I was trying to think of books, they didn't really come to me, and now that I'm trying to work on other stuff, random books keep popping into my head. So this is an addendum to my earlier list. Just a couple more books that I think are worth examining. Enjoy. But since ...

Chillin' with Oppy: February 2006
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Thursday, February 09, 2006. Mark Cuban 9, Phil Jackson 1. You might think that slavery is illegal in the United States nowadays. Not according to Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Check out the following excerpt from his blog. For whatever reason, I have gotten to Phil so completely and thoroughly that every time he comes to Dallas he has to offer unsolicited comments about me to the media. I wonder if he dreams about me t...

Chillin' with Oppy: April 2006
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Tuesday, April 11, 2006. I recently finished The Bradbury Chronicles. This biography reminded me of just how much I've always loved Ray Bradbury's writing style, and with the summer just around the corner, it seems a perfect time to re-read some of his classics. It also brought my attention to many Bradbury stories and books that I've never read, and I'm excited to pick them up. Again is that eventually it really gets on your nerves.

Chillin' with Oppy: November 2005
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Monday, November 28, 2005. When you think of games like Risk and Stratego, one word comes to mind:. Both games test the wits, cunning, and testicular fortitude of the players. Both games pit players against each other in a dance of feint and attack. Both games involve the conquest and domination of land and armies. But when you get right down to it, which is sweeter? Let's examine how each game stacks up in a few major categories. In re...

Chillin' with Oppy: May 2007
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Saturday, May 26, 2007. I know that there's been a lot of talk of making a trade to bring Mike Conley, Jr. to the Blazers along with Oden. (If we draft him, I mean). But seriously, do we really need another point guard? And as for Blake, as much as I like the guy, do we really think Jack or Sergio won't be at least. As good as he is in a year or two? Rashard Lewis, anyone? Posted by Oppy @ 5/26/2007. I'm going to be watching this this.

Chillin' with Oppy: April 2007
http://chillinwithoppy.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
A blog on books, beavers, and blazers, but not always in that order. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. It's been a long time since I posted. Of course, that doesn't really mean much, since all three of my readers stopped reading a long while back, but it's been a long time nonetheless. As this post is mostly a way of encouraging myself to write a bit more again, I'm just going to lay out a few points I hope to hit here in the next few days. Beavs' football offseason and upcoming season preview. A Confederacy of...
