A bird's eye view to biking! It's a girl thing…. Bike No. 2 – Yamaha FZ6s. Buz – my wonderful Fz6s was bought new from On Yer Bike. Four and a half years ago and became the object of my affections – bling was king! And my beloved Fazer was made over several times in return for his devotion to duty. Our time was spent pootling about, holidays in France, getting lost rather a lot! And occasionally kissing tarmac😛. The Fazer gave me a whole new world of biking after the GPZ500. Buz did appear to be bullet ...

A bird's eye view to biking! It's a girl thing…. Biking did not come easily to me! 8211; Mind you that might have been because I didn’t learn to ride a bicycle until I was 30. So how comes I got into bikes? My thanks must go to my Granddad George, as I began to seize the day – within a year I’d completed a bungee jump off Chelsea Bridge, learnt the basics of playing golf (still working on it! Anyways to cut a very long story short I did eventually make it past the 125cc stage, albeit via the A2 licence s...

A bird's eye view to biking! It's a girl thing…. Bike No. 3. – Triumph Sprint ST 955i. I remember when I first passed my bike test and wandered around several bike showrooms thinking there was no way I was going to ever be able to ride a big bike! 8211; which certainly felt big enough! 8211; was a Kawasaki GPZ500. I recall thinking that there was no fairing to replace if I dropped it, no fancy bits and small tyres that were readily available and not too expensive! And enjoyed the twisties in Charleville ...

A bird's eye view to biking! It's a girl thing…. Posts Tagged With: Cotswolds. Seize the day – housework can always wait! January 3, 2014. Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a great one and bet that many of you have renewed that vow to ensure you get out more on the bike this year! As for me, I’m certainly going to do the same but will admit I’m old enough and with enough miles under my belt that the lure of all-weather riding has somewhat diminished. Being a far heavier bike than my fazer (FZ6s).

A bird's eye view to biking! It's a girl thing…. Why risk inverted nipples? February 8, 2011. Apparently there’s this little black book of biking that gets given to lots of blokes when they pass their test. It tells them such incredible nuggets of wisdom – like if you want warm fingers and toes and always to be dry then consider sticking with a car…. Would anyone think that if you ride a bike you have to suffer? Gerbing heated jacket liner and gloves. Heated gear is the future. Is the moment when you rea...
