fiber art and craft: little Bur oak whorl tablequilt
http://fiberartalmosteveryday.blogspot.com/2015/05/little-bur-oak-whorl-tablequilt.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. Little Bur oak whorl tablequilt. This one's done, washed and dried, crinkle and all. I learned a lot. This was a kind of test for a few construction issues before working towards something much bigger. The biggest leaf is just barely attached to the whole. We can also always use another surface-saving welcome spot for handmade ceramics. If Eva finds it unoccupied we can just start calling it a cat mat. May 29, 2015 at 12:41 PM. May 29, 2015 at 3:11 PM. Hi Tina. Thanks. Linda m in bc.

Hunter on Maui: Asking when you know -your- answer
http://hunteronmaui.blogspot.com/2017/01/asking-when-you-know-your-answer.html
Friday, January 13, 2017. Asking when you know -your- answer. Finally, a better pic. My project finally saw a little daylight. The variegated thread looks better in person. I cut the threads so they went from darker to lighter shades. So I kept going. Nothing fancy. Just stitches that let me keep moving. And I love the way it looks. Probably because of the way it helped me feel. Now on to asking a question that you already know your. I threw them out. Yes Not thinking about it? So I tossed them and smiled.

Tales from the birdhut. Musings on art, walks with the dog, life as it happens. Exhibition '14,complete line up. Very short poems/hele korte gedichten. Sunday, 26 July 2015. A whole week poured into one post. Catkins, linden ( Tilia). Rediscovered this poor bird who had managed to fall to his death in the heart shaped tray. In amongst the uprooted plants from the border was this strange root ball, what is it? Another one still awaiting a face-lift. Yesterday (Saturday) we had a storm raging over the coun...

Exploring Life through Cloth. Color, Cloth and Magic. Silk Scarves and Crow. I don’t know how long this phase will last–this passion for imprinting nature onto cloth. But right now I’m in the throes of it. A freezer near full of leaves. And I’m taking it. Items listed in Shopping Place. But for me the blessing–cloth has called me back. Crow surrounded by magic from the dye vat. Good Seed Rising–Marking Time. Always Changing →. 20 Responses to “Silk Scarves and Crow”. July 2, 2015 at 10:01 am. Yesssssssss...

fiber art and craft: color journal II :: yellow in April
http://fiberartalmosteveryday.blogspot.com/2015/04/color-journal-ii-yellow-in-april.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. Color journal II : yellow in April. The forsythia just off our front porch is in full bloom. The daffodils are going all out too. I have been busy indoors with some serious spring cleaning. Hoping to wrap it up soon and get back to more stitching as there are so many unfinished projects being unearthed as I tidy. Managed to find time to paint one fabric block a day along with The 100 Day Project. Began April 6) and have been posting these over at my Instagram page. Color journal I...

Never walk in a straight line. A small autumnal journey linked closely to the daily walks Django and I enjoy this time of the year; the blocks are sewn together with the paperless piecing technique I learned from Jude. Upon which sponge squares were printed again with textile inks; top right is avocado dye, top left? Looking at wh...

From Ellen Meloy's 'The Anthropology of Turquoise' chapter one, the Deeds and Sufferings of Light (my italics). Or else hanging curtain-wise as a shield against the sun's bright rays, softening the light; at night protecting one from darkened skies as we hurtle through space. Personally I love close-ups of stitching. Links to this post.

Tales from the birdhut. Musings on art, walks with the dog, life as it happens. Exhibition '14,complete line up. Very short poems/hele korte gedichten. Sunday, 5 July 2015. Summer has arrived, feels like i'm on holiday already. The beginning of a single-layered cloth. I love the lower light half, the pale colours and am not too happy with the darker patches, however I am going to leave them in it, perhaps if i sew a tight running stitch with white thread they too might 'lighten up'.
