Sketch of an Astronaut. Prose Poems, Posted Periodically. Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Working on a Collection. I'd love to find a good poetry girl to date, but that's not easy in this alienated town of D.C. I'm also feel sad about the loss of Jackly Potter, who was the orgaizer of the Miller Cabin readings. I didn't know here too well, she was much older, but she did say some nice things about my work I appreciated when she selected me for a reading. Posted by Don at 9:59 AM. Links to this post.

Sketch of an Astronaut. Prose Poems, Posted Periodically. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Boring Discussions About Poetry. I look on a lot of poetry blogs and feel they get too technical about poetics and literature. Science can get away with talking in its own language, but poetry is about communication. It's not so difficult that we have to obscure it by talking in jargon. I resolve, if I ever write an essay on some poetic subject, that I will make it accessible and readable. And entertaining!

Sketch of an Astronaut. Prose Poems, Posted Periodically. Sunday, November 27, 2005. There's a great reading at Bossa tonight, an open mic poetry reading in D.C. on 18th Street. Bossa is a nightclub in the heart of Adams Morgan. The reading series is called Worth of Mouth, occurring on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. It's free and it's especially welcome to spoken word performers. Here's the Web site: http:/ groups.yahoo.com/group/wordofmouthpoetry/. Posted by Don at 7:32 PM. Links to this post.

Sketch of an Astronaut. Prose Poems, Posted Periodically. Friday, July 28, 2006. My writing goes like this: I write about 2 poems a day now and then hope that one per week is any good. I've never been a big reviser, though when I do, I can obtain good results. I just keep producing, it seems easier than angsting over one particular poem. (Do I use "I" too much in my posts? Is this the best way for me? How do other people produce works (an hour of writing a day? Posted by Don at 12:56 PM. Posted by Don at...

Sketch of an Astronaut: September 2006
http://sketchofanastronaut.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Sketch of an Astronaut. Prose Poems, Posted Periodically. Friday, September 29, 2006. Some of the poems I've been writing lately mention torture. Maybe I should stop reading/watching the news. It's too depressing. We're becoming a nation right out of "1984." The Democrats will still not gain back Congress, despite everything that's been done wrong. Maybe when it all falls apart they won't be so tainted by it and be able to repair the damage. Wishful thinking. Posted by Don at 12:57 PM. Links to this post.
