Immovable Feast: September 2010
http://immovablefeast.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
One ear outside the wig. Squirrel on a stick. We came back from Christmas break to see about 10 different flowers in bloom all around our yard. Can you guess who these people are? These sprouted up right after the hurricane and stayed for quite a while. They are Spider Lilies, also known as Hurricane Lilies and Nak. After 7 days without, we have power back! Right after the power came on some tree people magically showed up to clear the huge branches. Friends, Romans, Countrymen. The Daily Year, 2011.

Easter Blooms | Always Growing
https://alwaysgrowing.wordpress.com/2009/04/13/easter-blooms-2
April 13, 2009 at 6:04 am ( Flowers. By Jan in Covington, Louisiana. I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. We had a pleasant day, but last night, thunderstorms came through that kept us awake for hours. Luckily, there was no damage, and we did need the rain. The Easter bunny didn’t leave any eggs or chocolate here, but that is okay (can’t use the extra calories anyway), and I’ll take new flowers anyway. You have to agree that this was a lovely Easter present from Mother Nature. April 13, 2009 at 6:07 am.
