Expressed an interest in the exciting and mysterious world of The Mad Gypsy. Okay well maybe not that mysterious or even that interesting lol. But if anyone is curious, here it is:. About The Mad Gypsy. I LOVE giraffes. Ever since I was little they reminded me of alien horses. I have a cat named Jables and I love him...

Art, design, sculpture, dolls and other happy things by Denise Ferragamo. Jun 21, 2011. Handbuilt Clay Sculpture Work In Progress. I wanted to upload a few pictures of my latest sculpture, the Raven Spirit. I've done a few ravens/crows in the past, but this one is by far the biggest. I've used Axner Autumn's White Stoneware again, and as usual, I've loved working with it. I haven't measured the size, but my hand is in the photo to show the size. So anyway, here are the pictures:. Art, design, sculpture, dolls and other happy things by Denise Ferragamo. Jan 22, 2012. Using Linocuts with Porcelain Clay. I've been experimenting with combining my love of linocuts (linoleum block printing) and porcelain clay. Over the holidays, I made several linocuts on unmounted linoleum, and used them to make a series of pendants and porcelain beads that were really exciting. Take shrinkage into account when carving designs. It shrunk a lot, which made some of my carving lines almost too thin.

Here's a super easy to sew project that you can finish in about an hour or so. My owl plushie, who I've named the Far Out Owl, is made from simple cotton quilting fabric, felt and fleece. He's got a little bit of hand stitching to give him some handmade yummyness, too. Take the bonding material and cut it into 4 or 5 little pieces. Use these to hold the contra...

Still in the wet clay stage, I thought I would share this lady I'm in the middle of sculpting. She's pretty wacky looking, isn't she? I started with a pinch pot base, added the midsection and her ample boobs. Then I attached the arms and neck. Sep 4, 2010. Latest Iktomi News and fresh pottery! The new website is up and running! Art, design, sculpture, dolls and other happy things by Denise Ferragamo. Aug 25, 2010. A couple of Happy Things. I made lots of little hedgehogs last night. They're so simple; just a ball of clay with a pointy end and a few pokes with my stick - but it's amazing how much personality they have when they're done. The ones in the picture are still wet clay. They'll shrink from drying and firing and get even smaller and cuter. Making these really made me happy. I got my shipment from Crop Circle Clay. Addin...

Art, design, sculpture, dolls and other happy things by Denise Ferragamo. Jul 30, 2011. Lost and Found Art. In my frantic search of the garage, where I was hoping to find an electric frying pan or something to melt wax in (for another project)- I came across a box with these Christmas nativity sets in it. The funny thing is, I lost this box after a craft show about 5 years ago. It's weird to see things you did in the past. Jul 21, 2011. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself.
