Ruining his own future . . . one paragraph at a time. A Sword Into Darkness – Novel and Gallery. REMO: A Military and AI Science Fiction Anthology. BLUF Review: The Last Ship, Season 2 Episode 5, “Achilles”. I can mostly thumbs-up a failed attempt with good, engaging performances, sunk due to either ignorance, the desire to keep secrets, or to hew closely to established tropes, but it’s not one I’d go back to watch unless I’ve been drinking a lot. How should it have been done (in an unclassified sense)?

A Spat on Twitter. Sunday, June 14, 2015. First of all, a little disclosure. In the past, I have made a little money telling fortunes. I learned to read cards, and learned some cold reading techniques, because I was interested in psychic phenomena and because I'm interested in confidence tricks. Ignorant. Have you read anything? See my website I sum up the different points of view on these issues. Gotta read. I had a bit of a giggle. Here's the thing. Website can, and has, written. The act of writing...

The adventures of Eric Wilner. And his pal Aratinga S. Bird, BCFMO. Tuesday, 23 August 2016. Last week, I had a few hours of enforced idleness (which I thought, at the time, would stretch into a day or so), so, casting about for reading material on my Kindle, I came across Chestertons. Eugenics and Other Evils. I didnt get all that far into it before my reading time was interrupted, but wow. It only extends the principles of the Lunacy Laws to persons without a trace of lunacy. And, remember: the evil Eu...

GOING SNICKER-SNACK SINCE 1972. Sunday, January 30, 2011. The Practicalities of The New Science: The Practical Application. Right, I've talked about politics enough, so let's get on to something I really find interesting: the practical application of what I've learned. But stay with me for a moment and you'll realize that these things are not equal. Others might ask 'Why bother? What is its substance and material? And what its causal nature [or form]? And what is it doing in the world? 2 The ability to c...

I was born into family firmly planted in hand-crafted and hand-hewn, so artistic endeavor naturally allowed me to connect. What discipline(s) do you teach? Most of them have NOT as this is a rat...

Thoughts, Musings and the Occasional Tirade. Friday, April 27, 2012. A Sailor on a Sea of Stars. When I was little I dreamt of the stars. The world of my childhood was wide-open to the stars and the night sky was bursting with them. In the evening I would look for the North Star first and, later, gaze longingly into the inky blackness of a universe that was bursting with light. Millions of stars and in my mind each one a source of wonder. Who lived out there? Posted by Andy at 8:55 AM. Therefore, those w...
