Here's the Thing: December 2005
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Saturday, December 31, 2005. 1 Be more blithe and even less correct. 2 Renew my commitment to my inner French girl. 3 Watch every fresh episode of "Gilmore girls". 4 Read at least 3 books that I've never read before. 5 Practice "Minuet in G Major" by Bach almost every day until I get it nailed. 7 I suppose I could stand to eat more vegetables and less bread. 8 Do a much better job of gardening. Like actually plant stuff. 9 Spend 15 minutes a day doing absolutely nothing.

Here's the Thing: May 2006
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Look over there in the side bar. Anyone have any idea why there's a space between "Quafee Tawk" and "The Weekly View"? In the template there is no space and the code for both links seems to be in order. It happened after I changed Angela's link. It kinda bugs me. It looks like I've sent Grish off to play by himself and I so wouldn't do that. Thoughts? UPDATE: The Spouse found my mistake. What a difference a / makes. Cobbled together by Moi at 11:31 AM.

Here's the Thing: August 2005

Have fun stormin' the castle! Wednesday, August 31, 2005. There are essentially two sorts of travelers: those who can't understand why the place they're visiting isn't like home and those who seek to learn something new by shaking up their routine. I like to think I fall in the second camp. Thus, being in Dallas was an opportunity to see how a large segment of our society live and think. Cobbled together by Moi at 7:36 AM. Here's the Thing: January 2006
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Tuesday, January 31, 2006. The Child was poised with a double diagonal and had the President only uttered the words "small business initiatives" she would have skunked me. As it was, I slid in with "no child left behind". The Child felt the speech overall to be boring but she enjoyed tallying the number of times W winked at people. I was interested in/amused by the following:. God help, I mean, bless, America. Cobbled together by Moi at 7:55 PM. The Child goes to an excellen...

Here's the Thing: November 2005
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Here are just a few of the headlines from this morning's NY Times:. Investigation says Russians Acted Ineptly in School Raid. An investigation of the terrorist attack on a school in Beslan in 2004 criticized law enforcement agencies for an uncoordinated rescue effort. US Set to Loosen Rules on Objects Allowed on Airlines. Thank heaven; nothing I like better on a long flight then taking care of some of those pesky household repairs. My mom gave i...

Here's the Thing: September 2005
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Friday, September 30, 2005. The big news: Yesterday, while The Child was in choir practise, I started going through all the material I had, to assess where I was. That's when I realized that I really am almost done with this book. Seriously. Within 2, maybe 3 chapters. I made more progress in spring than I realized. And you thought I was going to say something about Tom DeLay. Cobbled together by Moi at 1:51 PM. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Because I didn't get a running st...

Here's the Thing: February 2006
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Tuesday, February 28, 2006. More commonly known as Mardi Gras ("Fat Tuesday"), this is the last day of Carnevale. Lent begins tomorrow. Tonight, while everyone else is out drinking beer, we're going to be eating pancakes. Back in the day, Lent was a strictly vegan affair. The faithful had to rid their houses of all meat and dairy products before Ash Wednesday. And how else to better use up eggs, milk and butter than by whippin' up a big ol' batch of pancakes? Conversations i...

Here's the Thing: October 2005
http://dothedishesfirst.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Have fun stormin' the castle! Monday, October 31, 2005. You could say I am in a perfect temper for Halloween today. Everything started out well. I made smiley-face blueberry pancakes and The Child and I had a 'calendar meeting' at breakfast. She came to the table dressed and brushed. All good. Then it was time to leave and I sent her to get on her shoes and socks. That's when all hell broke loose. Cobbled together by Moi at 8:49 AM. Friday, October 28, 2005. Minimum Exposure: The Birds
http://minimumexposure.blogspot.com/2011/03/birds.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. There are some birds that like to gather in the trees behind our yard. They gather by the hundreds. I don't know what kind of bird they are, but they make quite a racket. Every so often something will startle them and a whole bunch of them will fly off in a big black cloud. It's kind of fun to watch. Its so refreshing to find articles like the ones you post on your site. Very informative reading. April 14, 2012 5:22 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
