Music machinery, verbal wizardry. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. So at this point I'm just like "well someone obviously forgot about their stuff, so I'll remove one set so that I can run my clothes through. " I did this and then returned to my place to be unimpressed by the American Idol ladies. Posted by Bethany @ Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Coombe Of Doom: December 2005
http://coombeofdoom.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 19, 2005. The Teeth played the Khyber on Friday. Becky, Jon and I went to check out what was going on upstairs. So we upstairs and Jon is getting a drink and Becky and I are standing talking and Becky goes Oh this is the new Madonna song. And I think I said something about not recognizing it and not listening to the radio really. And then this girl walks by and goes "It's and ABBA sample, hello? And Becky and I just laughed. I got fucking called out by some scene girl at the Khyber.

Music machinery, verbal wizardry. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Sometimes I'm not sure if I like a band live because they're actually great or if it's because the mixture of vodka and soda has clouded my eardrums so much that I have no idea what I am hearing (case in point: my dancing to French Kicks last week when I was only lukewarm to them prior to the show.). When I was doing my write-ups for Saturday's show, I started getting anxious about Hooray for Earth. Am I excited over nothing? Friday, May 26, 2006.

Music machinery, verbal wizardry. Thursday, April 27, 2006. Inside and a drink ticket (sweet! We get inside, get our free backpack and free beer and settle into this cavernous room that at the peak of the night probably only had 150 people inside, which wouldn't be so bad if the room wasn't made to hold upwards of like 2000. DJ Carb and Dave Virr were playing songs before the bands started. It was loud. Real loud. Posted by Bethany @ Thursday, April 27, 2006. Thursday, April 20, 2006. Every morning when ...

Music machinery, verbal wizardry. Friday, December 29, 2006. Only 9 hours until I will be removing my boots and walking through security only to sit another hour because you really don't need to be there 2 hours prior to your flight. That means home! Home to the wonderfully clean streets of Brookline and a fully stocked Trader Joe's just steps from my apartment. And walking! Oh glorious foot to sidewalk! Music machinery, verbal wizardry. Thursday, November 30, 2006. In the past year or two, I've gotten extremely lucky. Not like $ $ lucky or being rescued from a freezing river by a dog with a broken leg kind of lucky. but oh-my-favorite-bands-from-years-gone-by-have-reunited lucky. Call me crazy, but sometimes I think I had better taste in music when I was 17 than I do now (let's ignore my ska and swing phase please.). Stolen from Eric Christianson circa 2000.). Nika's Friends Are Famous. Once It was afte...

Coombe Of Doom: January 2006
http://coombeofdoom.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2006. On Friday, I opened up my Netflix envelope only to discover they once again fucked up my order. Instead of Top Gun, I received Sky High. Obviously I could see how these two films could be mixed up. Surprisingly Sky High was pretty good. I was a little disappointed. I wanted to be amused by Tom Cruise and his semi-homoerotic innuendo, instead I got Kurt Russell in tights. I noticed that this film, along with Freaky Friday was produced by Andrew Gunn, who disappointingly has no c...
