Monday, July 8, 2013. We had a good weekend around here. No big 4th of July festivities, but fun nonetheless. There were pancakes Friday night. 3 ingredient pancakes! Banana, egg, coconut flour. Saturday I ran 14 miles. I was not mentally in the game. And it was really hot, no wind. Monday, July 1, 2013. Training was a little jumbled but good the last couple weeks. And by that I just mean that I missed a mile or so each week on my total mileage and did runs on different days than the training plan prescribed. But that’s life! I’m just glad I’m still here, throwing down the miles each day. 12 mile long run with a friend last Sunday (sooooo fun! 3 miles of hills Tuesday. 6 miles of hills and heat Wednesday (why did I run in the middle of the day? 9 mile long run Saturday. BAM.

Friday, July 5, 2013. I totally did it. Ran in the am, that is. For one whole day. That picture isn’t even of that morning, but you get the idea. So yeah, Tuesday morning I drug my sleepy butt out of bed and did 4 slow miles. It was nice to get it over with and not have to do anything when I got home from work/school that night, but not nice enough to talk me into doing it again Wednesday morning. Friday, June 14, 2013. My Garmin hates me and Map my Run is a liar. I love them both anyway. Monday – rest plank. Tuesday – 3 miles, hilly plank. Wednesday – 3 miles, hilly 50 squats plank. Thursday – 6 miles, hilly plank. Not sure why I feel the need to record which runs were ‘hilly’ – since pretty much every run on Maui involves hills. Total crap. The real kicker is that my effort level felt like I was crusing along at 10:15 or so average. Yeah Not even close to the truth. I don’t even know.
