In and Out of the Stash: A Hat For Me
http://inandoutofthestash.blogspot.com/2011/04/hat-for-me.html
In and Out of the Stash. Musings About Life On and Off the Needles. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. A Hat For Me. After posting about the hat I made for hubby, I realise that I had not posted pictures of the hat I had made for myself. Especially as I made it at the end of last year. The pattern is Quincy by Jared Flood who is known in the blogging world as Brooklyn Tweed. This photo is a better representation of the colour. For a very simple neck warmer and knitted until I ran out of yarn. Am I Using My Stash?

In and Out of the Stash. Musings About Life On and Off the Needles. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Not Good Photos But At Least There Are Photos. Shawl(ette)s have been piling up waiting to be photographed. My intention was to ask my husband to take photos one weekend but I never got around to it so a couple of weeks ago I took photos. But when I looked at them they were rather blurry so I took a few today with my phone. Not brilliant but at last I'm showing off finished objects. In order of finishing:. I have ...

http://inandoutofthestash.blogspot.com/2015/05/i-can-show-some-gifts.html
In and Out of the Stash. Musings About Life On and Off the Needles. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. I Can Show Some Gifts. Except I don't have photos of one of them. One of my friends is moving across the country so yesterday her and another friend and I went to lunch as a sort of goodbye lunch. Sort of as in the sale of her house fell through so she does not know when she will be moving. We decided we would just keep having lunches until the day actually arrives. I also made her a project bag. She enjoys watc...

In and Out of the Stash. Musings About Life On and Off the Needles. Thursday, June 18, 2015. So Much To Say. But I haven't said it. Different things pop into my head to write about for this blog but they don't make it into print. I also have some finished projects but they also haven't shown up here. Hmm I think just writing this is the incentive I need to take photos. Am I Using My Stash? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Am I Using My Stash? View my complete profile. Yarn In and Out. In and Out of the House
Friday, June 19, 2015. The Best Tea in the World. Tea has been a part of human life since the Stone Age. Yet people used to only drink it iced in the summer time. Tea has now become an any time drink. I think my father personally championed this change, since we had iced tea year-round as I grew up in Buffalo, New York. My father was from South Carolina where tea is a staple. In my first book, Under the Sheets. I loaned my heroine the recipe for the tea. She owned a restaurant and it was a favorite o...

In and out of the Natural State
In and out of the Natural State. Saturday, March 5, 2011. Long time, ne? I have really slacked on this whole blogging agenda I had. With a finish line on my japan time I have really started to treasure my life here. although school is still challenging, I have begun to make the most of remaining time in this beautiful count...

In and Out of the Stash
In and Out of the Stash. Musings About Life On and Off the Needles. Saturday, March 24, 2018. A Finished Object and an Unfinished Object. At last the promised finished item. But first, what is unfinished? I do like this pattern and will make it again when I find the right yarn - drapey but not a gradient. Once the yarn was back into a ball I cast on a new project - Fruit Cocktail. It seems that this is more easily adaptable - I hope so. I have already shown. You can see the first Starshower. I’m en...

In and Out of Words
In and Out of Words. Poetry inspired by the day and season. Friday, August 14, 2015. At the flashy red feeder brimming with a home-made brew,. Tiny hummingbirds fight furiously for their sugar fix. Lanky, great blue herons wade languidly. Under shady shrubs overhanging the cloud-reflecting pond. Two harriers, a nesting couple, thread their swoops. Through branches thickly laden with greenery. And have culled both bunnies and chipmunks. From the neighborhood lawns. Spring-green, blanched by shadows. Night...
