Thursday, September 22, 2005. After partying it up at Tom and Jen’s wedding in Vail, Matt and I headed over to Grand Junction to spend some time with Jim and Kathy. While we were there, Matt took me up the Independence Monument. Located in the Colorado National Monument. It was my first multi pitch climb and a desert tower at that! We had an awesome time! First Trip to Vantage. Sunday, March 05, 2006. Matt and I drove out to Vantage. Late Friday night and set up camp. We awoke early on Saturday morning to some beautiful sunny weather! We warmed up on a couple of routes at The Feathers and then spent the rest of the day at Sunshine Wall - some sport some trad :). Pretty good climbing for winter! We'll definitely be going back!
