Ann i Am: August 2012
http://anniam.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
ANYTHING worth doing is worth OVERDOING I'm talking knitting here, sewing, bike riding, photography, eating, oh YEAH, chocolate and coffee. Who is Ann anyway? I'd rather ride my bike (the human-powered sort) than do just about anything else. BUT, I have sooooo many other things I like to do, there are hardly ever enough hours in the day to get everything done. View my complete profile. I Can Do Stuff Like THIS . . . The NEW and IMPROVED Plan. Some of my favorites. Lost in the Matrix. Meanwhile . ....

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads: September 2014
http://jmeetzestudiocommonthreads.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Wednesday, September 3, 2014. As some of you may know I do a lot of sketching. It keeps me connected to the world in a special way and nourishes all the other work going on in my studio, like tapestry for example. So I am continuing to think about my daily practice as a journey that can be read visually as a personal narrative, or cartoon of my life. It is a lot to think about! Here is a detail of the top left corner of this years diar...

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads: 2015 Tapestry Half Full
http://jmeetzestudiocommonthreads.blogspot.com/2015/06/2015-tapestry-half-full.html
J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. 2015 Tapestry Half Full. Here is 2015 at the end of June. The year is half full and weaving its way through the Summer. I probably should have written a blog post right after the Fiberworks opening at Living Arts Gallery in Tulsa, Ok but honestly I think I was a little overwhelmed at that time. It was pretty exciting for both of my entered tapestries to win awards and a Facebook post was all I could manage.

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Tapestry in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Recently I visited Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) for a workshop, lectures and exhibit of tapestries by Archie Brennan and Susan Martin Maffei. Early on the morning of the first day I met Mary Segel while Susan and Archie were setting up the main room of the art building for the workshop. Here is Archie setting up a loom as students begin to arrive. By Tuesday ...

SalliesJeans: February 2013
http://salliesjeans.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 15, 2013. A couple of weekends ago I went up to Guthrie, OK, to see Donna Hilton. Donna is the owner of The Weavery at Indian Meridian. I went to see Donna because she has alpacas, roving, looms, spinning wheels and drop spindles. But mostly I wanted to see the alpacas. Donna has several alpacas (I think she said 8), but she also has llamas and angora goats. She showed me some of the roving from her alpacas, and it was beautiful. Almost made me want to learn to spin.

Plains Girl: It's time for Le Tour de Fleece 2009!
http://plainsgirl.blogspot.com/2009/06/its-time-for-le-tour-de-fleece-2009.html
Random thoughts from the Heartland. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. It's time for Le Tour de Fleece 2009! It's that time of year again- time to think about Le Tour de Fleece! I have two relatively simple goals:. 1) Finish spinning the alpaca from Donna at Indian Meridian Weavery. I've been working on this for almost a year, and I'm almost done! This will not take very long; in fact, I may actually finish it before the Tour starts. If so, I'll add a new goal. Posted by KatyaR @ 11:10 AM. Welcome to our blog!

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads: March 2014

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Monday, March 24, 2014. Following My Path Through March. Following the path through the 2014 diary this year has been great fun. I've been enjoying the palette which is so different from last year, the concept of the path has been interesting to work with and the technique study from the Threads Course in Tapestry by Mette Lise Rossing continues to be inspiring. Here is a close up of the beginning of Feb/ March with March to the right.

J Meetze Studio/Common Threads. Where my art and fiber come together. Friday, March 27, 2015. Finishing ( Finished ) Party. There have been many days this month when I have been grateful my commute is so short. March has thrown everything from snow storms to tornados at Oklahoma but Spring is beginning to bust out of the seemingly endless winter. The new Ymmyarns and color cards for wool and silk have arrived! Here is a shot of the back right after taking it off the loom. A sea of loose threads! I had th...
