http://bibliotechconsultants.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
From Sauerkraut to Shakespeare. Reflections on School Library Facilities Design. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Learning Environments and Academic Success. The average public school building in America is forty-two years old. And was not designed to meet the demands of current and future technology. Yesterday voters in Portland, Oregon rejected a bond to upgrade Portland’s World War II-era. For an excellent column that encouraged a “Yes” vote.). If we are fortunate to work in schools where new and renovated sc...

From Sauerkraut to Shakespeare: Ideas (Good and Bad) from a Public Library: Almere Library, the Netherlands
http://bibliotechconsultants.blogspot.com/2011/01/ideas-good-and-bad-from-public-library.html
From Sauerkraut to Shakespeare. Reflections on School Library Facilities Design. Friday, January 21, 2011. Ideas (Good and Bad) from a Public Library: Almere Library, the Netherlands. It's useful to glean ideas from retail stores, to look for things that might work well in a school library. We do, after all, need to challenge old ways of doing things. However, we need to be careful that we don’t take it too far. We are, after all, libraries not bookstores. They might work in a public library, but I’...

From Sauerkraut to Shakespeare. Reflections on School Library Facilities Design. Friday, October 22, 2010. I very much like this lounge chair from Blu Dot. It would be great in a high school library. It's offered in natural leather with white-stained, solid beech frame or black-tanned leather with black-stained, solid beech frame. It's currently on sale for $799, marked down from $999. As good lounge chairs go, this is a reaonable price. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Sunday, October 17, 2010. In 1945 Char...

Good ideas are born from the need to innovate and create. Need to think that is not always the right way to do something is the common way. Sometimes they come by themselves. Other times require extra effort. They're just a diamond waiting to be discovered. I'm sure that good ideas are always born from a piece of oneself. Don't you think? I use and love HTML5 and CSS3.
