Becca's Moderate View on Tx Govt. Friday, May 6, 2011. I'd say the MetroRail is inching along. As Surid Kaphle mentions in his blog " A Great Citizen. Although the amount of passengers increased during SXSW, it still was not that useful. The last train left downtown at 11:30pm. I think that the MetroRail has great potential, and will be successful, eventually. Austin needs to dedicate more time and money to make it useful to a larger percentage of the population. An attempt to understand all things political. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. In the Dallas Morning News Editorial “Doctor on sex-offender list too much to stomach,”. The unknown author claims that the Texas Medical Board should be required to revoke a medical license from any doctor who is placed on deferred adjudication for sex crimes committed against a child. The author makes this claim in support of a bill that has been filed by Senator John Carona. Absolutely. But is he human? Editorial: “Doctor...

http://thecross-eyedbear.blogspot.com/2011/02/texas-bills-targetting-abortion.html
An attempt to understand all things political. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Texas Bills Targeting Abortion. I guess I might as well start this blog out with a BANG and hit on a very sensitive, controversial issue. Explains the ins-and-outs of this bill in better detail. Pay special attention to the part explaining supplemental insurance. I cannot wrap my head around the train of thought leading a person to preemptively. Acquire insurance to cover an abortion that they foresee. Voice in the Wilderness.

An attempt to understand all things political. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Makes an interesting point. Necessary abortion, and I hate to think that my hard-earned tax dollars are being spent that way. Planned Parenthood and its affiliates are responsible for 1 out of 4 abortions performed in the nation. In fact, this organization just released its numbers from 2009. In sum, Texas is NOT taking away a woman’s right to choose abortion by defunding Planned Parenthood. Texas is only stating that our tax...Blue oa...

The Cross-Eyed Bear: January 2011
http://thecross-eyedbear.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
An attempt to understand all things political. Saturday, January 22, 2011. What is a Cross-Eyed Bear? I feel the need to explain myself. Although, I'm willing to bet that some people might already catch my reference to a well know misquote. As I started to think about blogging, a few thoughts crossed my mind. My first thought was, who in the world cares to read what I have to say? My second thought was, more importantly, what do I have to say about Texas politics? Which begs the question: WHY, Dad? As I ...

An attempt to understand all things political. Friday, April 1, 2011. A Texas Tribute to Obamacare. Federal funding for the connector program doesn’t completely cover the costs of creating this program, and by 2014 funding will completely run out. Who is left to foot the bill? We, the tax payers of Texas, will foot that bill, and the connector program will be forced to raise its costs. At one point will the connector program no longer be “low cost? Take a look at the results of this study. Blue oasis in ...
