The minimalist styling of the site, along with very little overall verbiage, made it easy to choose a simple font that accentuates the purpose. The goal of my portfolio site is to create something both aesthetically pleasing and functional that will allow me to display my work in the most effective way possible. ATEC 3361 Internet Studio Fall 2008. Monday, November 10, 2008. My site will be a base white "canvas" on a repeated, textured, greyscale background that I highlighted in the previous texture post. Text will be either black or a dark shade of grey. On each different page there will be a different header image chosen to represent that particular section of work. These may be actual images of work, the work itself, or images of me working, perhaps. The colors will vary. Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

Since my last post, I have left the company I was working for at the time, went on my own for a few years, and now am back working for the employer I worked fro part time while going to college. It has been a long time since this blog was created and updated for one of my college classes at UT Dallas. Unfortunately, I have been very busy with a new job, etc, and haven't had a ton of time for personal projects, whether it be keeping up with the website, photography, other art, or other things. Since my entire site is focusing on a minimalist approach, the links will be black text on the white page background, with grey rounded-rectangle rollover backgrounds. ATEC 3361 Internet Studio Fall 2008. Tuesday, October 21, 2008. The metaphor I am going for is deserted tropical beach. When you first enter, a pleasing graphic panoramic will great you, and hopefully you will find whatever you are looking for within the pages of the site, along with some pleasant artistic surprises.
