Not Really Homeschooling: March 2011
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Rob Bell. any thoughts? I know many people out there dislike. Rob Bell intensely and think he's a heretic. Their number may, perhaps, be equalled by those who are huge fans, own all his published works and listen to his Sunday sermons through the internet. I fall into neither of those camps. I came across Rob Bell through my parents, who showed us one of his DVDs. Of his. I also hear about him, occasionally, on Brian McLaren's blog. With all the uproar about the new book. I’...

Not Really Homeschooling: November 2010
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 November 2010. Here's what's going in our little ones' stockings this year:. A home-made Waldorf baby doll. And carrier sling each, if I get them finished in time. A banana, satsuma, piece of pear-and-rye bread each. Chocolate coins - one bag between the four of us. A piece of Haba pretend food. Each, probably a muffin or berry of some sort. A matchbox car each - Nutmeg likes cars just as much as Froglet does! A bracelet for Nutmeg, which Froglet will help me choose. From The Green Parent.

Not Really Homeschooling: August 2010
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 August 2010. Who else loves audiobooks? Don't worry, I haven't forgotten I still need to post about Corfu. But first a short break so I can tell you about something really cool. I grew up with no TV. (And no, I'm not that old. 40 is still quite some way off! Complete with regional accents. And virtually all of the slightly-abridged Chronicles of Narnia read by Michael Hordern. That version of The Chronicles of Narnia. All of this brings us to Librivox. Librivox volunteers record public domain ...

Not Really Homeschooling: April 2011
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 21 April 2011. How much does God love his children? Yesterday I wrote about how much we love our children. I got a couple of answers to that - some on facebook, others on here - along the lines of "of course we would be reconciled, of course that is the better thing to do, of course that is the thing Jesus teaches us to do". Does God (through Jesus) ask more of us than he would be willing/able to do himself? The God who is both loving and just. The God who desires all men to be saved. Is a God ...

Not Really Homeschooling: March 2010
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 23 March 2010. Froglet's first word, at the age of about 13 months, was "Cake". Prior to this he was using the sound "neng-neng" to mean food or more often drink from the age of about 9 months, but that robably doesn't count as a real word. Now she has acquired a second word. "Nana", for banana. She says the first n a bit strangely, as if she was trying to get the whole "ban" syllable into one letter. Links to this post. Wednesday, 17 March 2010. Not Really Homeschooling
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011/06/last-night-we-watched-episode-of-daily.html
Friday, 24 June 2011. Last night we watched the episode of the Daily Show where Jon Stewart talks about Greek public debt being 44,000 per capita, and U.S. public debt being 45,000. Interesting stuff (more interesting to me was that Goldman Sachs helped the Greeks con the EU into letting them into the Euro, which I had not previously realised - is there no end to their iniquity? Which was much more helpful in that it linked me straight to Wikipedia's list of countries by public debt. In brief, it's still...

Not Really Homeschooling: All the rest have 31...
http://notreallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011/08/all-rest-have-31.html
Monday, 15 August 2011. All the rest have 31. Anyone else here a big fan of December? Now chances are you are either cheering or staring at the screen in frank incredulity. December! Time of frantic Christmas shopping and big Christmas and New Year get-togethers where someone is sure to end up in St Mungo's with a satsuma or walnut up his or her nose? Stress on earth and ill will to all men! Be that as it may, I love it. And I love that as a result there's very little, if any, arguing or insertion of sat...
