Tuesday, October 30, 2007. 7 days to go. Posted by Ine Beerten at 5:44 AM. The Naga Fireball Festival. On the 26th of october, at the end of the buddhist lent and on the full moon, the Naga Fireball Festival takes place in Pon Pisai, about 45km from Nongkhai. The guesthouse organised a trip going there by bus and returning on a late night river cruise with dinner on board. So a big group of us decided to go there and hoped to see some of these mystical fireballs. Three years ago. Labels: Dragon boat races.

Saturday, September 29, 2007. As soon as my computer was fixed I took the night train to Nongkhai. Surprisingly the train arrived with a delay of only 5 minutes (usually there's a delay of 2 or 3 hours), so I was at the Mut Mee Guesthouse at 9.30am. It is nice being back here, as it feels a bit like home. My old room was already taken but I got another one that is even better. Posted by Ine Beerten at 11:00 AM. Thursday, September 27, 2007. Yeah, finally some new photos! I know you all have been waiting ...

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Lunch at Lee's (from left to right: Silvie, Stu, Sarah, Susan and Dave). But as I said, it's all coming to an end soon, and that's ok, 'cause I'm sure Australia is going to be great too. The first 4 songs were played by the whole band (Anton on the accordion, Lee on the violin, Christina on the guitar and David on percussion), the last 2 are played by Lee (voice and guitar) and Susan (flute). Tuesday, June 26, 2007. We met an English guy, called Martin, who owns several horses in the mountains close to Lovina. He has the horses so disabled children can ride them. But yesterday morning we also made a short trip with the horses on his land between the banana trees. Nederlandse tekst komt nog. Posted by Ine Beerten at 4:26 AM. Sunday, June 24, 2007. This morning we left Kedisan and went to Lovina in the North of Bali. Our first impressions are very positive. It's a beautiful and relaxed ...Vrijd...

Wednesday, May 30, 2007. I have noticed there are still a few minor problems with my newsletter service. Everything seems to be ok when you open your newsletter in Firefox both on Mac and pc. But when you open your email with Safari or Internet Explorer all you get is white page with at the very bottom a link to watch the email online, this link does work. I have no idea at the time how the newsletter performs in separate email application. Je abonneren op de nieuwsbrief kan ook een probleem zijn. Ik...

On the road again South-East Asia: February 2008

Sunday, February 3, 2008. This morning it was raining quite hard, so I took a taxi to the Panthip Plaza, the place to buy computers, camera's and game consoles. I bought myself a new external hard drive, because the one I had already is nearly full, and a cheap lightweight tripod for my camera. Then I walked to Siam Square to enjoy the air-conditioning in the luxurious malls, had some great Japanese food and took the bus back to Kao San. Posted by Ine Beerten at 11:06 AM. I will stay there for a week to begin with, maybe longer if it's really nice. I'm very curious how it will be. Posted by Ine Beerten at 10:00 AM. Friday, March 7, 2008.

Friday, April 13, 2007. Design hotels in Singapore. If I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't hesitate where to stay in Singapore. I would stay at the New Majestic Hotel. I looks like a really cool place to stay, with all that design furniture and those great graphics on the walls of the rooms. Rates start at 240 S$, which is way over my budget, but even though I'm considering staying there for a night or so, maybe at the end of my trip, if I still have some money left over.
