Research and Being an Ally →. November 23, 2015 · 8:00 am. Writing Fatigue and Imposter Syndrome. This month is Academic Writing Month. And I started it with a lot of energy, firing off an abstract, writing a conference paper and soldiering on with a chapter. Kit Heyam: queer thoughts on literature and life. A sh*t way to go. September 2, 2014. January 26, 2015. Today, I have mostly been thinking about toilets. Specifically, what did it mean to be killed on the toilet in medieval England? Having some fun. Dying on the toilet is bathetic; it doesn’t exactly provide the dignity we tend to require from the occasion. And so we laugh. But did medieval people laugh too? I’ve been thinking about toilets because of Edmund Ironside. He was pleasant to the ungrateful, ...

Asymp; Leave a comment. Hello again, my minions! I thought since I was on a roll, I might as well do another blog posting. This is on one of the projects we have started since moving to the bayou. The dear hubby read an article about turning compost into actual dirt so thought he would give it a go. We allowed the lawn (almost an acre! We had to fall a dead tree and used it as a border around our little compost heap. For the next week, he watered the area a little each evening. And beholdon the 4. Nowabo...

Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying, 'Allah loves so and-so; O Gabriel! Love him.' Gabriel would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven.
